Hoping for a tough start to hasten Rodgers' mid-season sacking.

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
Its an exciting fixture list tbh for us. By October we would be done with all biggies except for chelsea with majority of them at home and then there are no biggies among the last 5 as well.
Infinitely better than last years for sure where we faced all 3 promoted clubs in the first 5 and could only win 1. Dropped crucial points during that first couple of months.
This time at least even if we drop points like that, there will be easier games to follow unlike last time.
Btw man city !! Look at their last 5 fixtures. provided swansea and soton wont fade away next year, we can safely assume city does have their work cut out.

Ours is pretty much like last season. Big games spaced out with the big games coming in the same months.
We need a better start this time. Can see us going on a run again at the end of the season like we have in the last 2 seasons.

The Premier League's pre-season
Last year was more amusing than league
The period of Richard Keys' banters vine , present also on GL banner , I hope in new vines for our hero waiting for 8th August
The pre-season , that sweet moment where you 've massive projects for your Fantasy Premier League , projects to wreck duly during the year as Newcastle United
The pre-season , where Tottenham under Juande Ramos looked like Netherlands 1974 and you wonder if they're going to fight for the title

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
Title already looks like it's between us and Arsenal. Wenger has signed 3 World Class players in 3 successive summers (Ozil, Sanchez & Cech). Fair play.
EDIT: Hate to say it but Arsenal have the better squad as things stand. No club in the country has more creative depth in midfield than them....Ramsey, Cazorla, Ozil, Wilshere & Rosicky all in rotation while we only have Oscar & Cesc.
Ox, Sanchez & Walcott out wide is significantly better than Cuadrado, Hazard & Willian. We have the best out of the 6 but Arsenal's wide players are so much more multi-dimensional. Dribblers, goalscorers & players that exploit space while all 3 of ours need the ball to feet.
Goalkeeping is even now that we've handed them Cech on a silver platter.
I'd say DM, CF & fullbacks are the only positions we outright win.

Is Cech pushing for a move to Arsenal? Never thought I'd see the day Mourinho would sell a very good player to a direct rival.

Goalkeepers don't have that many choices, if Cech was an outfield player, I don't think Chelsea would sell him to Arsenal.

They sold Mata to Man Utd, i don't think Mourinho cares about selling to rivals as much as you all seem to think.

Neither are Arsenal, unless they got more. But Man Yoo can/could get more. Mourinho isn't to know that.

Window is still very early (hasn't really opened tbf) but Arsenal have arguably the best squad in the PL right now if they get Cech in.
If Mourinho wasn't at Chelsea they'd easily be favourites.

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
That's not true though.
They've had decent squads in the past but going into this season they could be the best. If they don't title challenge this year their season would come down as a complete failure. City is rebuilding. United is rebuilding. Liverpool are as good as Tottenham with El Wank in charge and are going backwards.
If they can add another CB (and by another, I mean that actually has some quality and not some kid) alongside Cech to this squad they'll be the only ones that could rival Mourinho in the league. Why I completely confused on why Mou would let Cech leave. The guys still arguably better than Courtois ffs.

Re: Barclays Premier League 15-16 Discussion-v1
Ok but you definitely could have said the same last year.
Wenger spent half the season *bleep* around with systems and it lost them the league, whose to say it won't happen again
Besides even on paper they are not good enough, the mere idea that Giroud and Coquelin make up two of the teams spine automatically ends that idea.
