Re: January Transfer Window 2015
Well be interesting to see if we get him. I can't see him leaving for anything below buyout, though.

Re: January Transfer Window 2015
So..we had no problems to spend 30M for both Schuerrle and Willian when both weren't guaranteed starters as we had Hazard, Oscar and Mata was still our best player in the past 2 seasons, but now we have for one single purchase who would be a starter?

I think we'll still end up getting Cuadrado, on deadline day.

I just can't imagine the club would allow a player they want let slip over a few million pounds. And if they do....

I wonder how Shed would feel like if it turns out that Salah staying is our big Matic-esque signing to win the PL.

Chelsea up Douglas Costa bid to £18.7m hoping to secure Juan Cuadrado signing in double transfer swoop

Pls, Jose, no.
Looks like we're still after both Cuadrado and Costa.

Chelsea have increased their offer for Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder to £18.7million as they continue to pursue Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado this transfer window.
The Blues had an opening bid of £16million rejected for Costa on Thursday evening, according to the player himself.
Chelsea have turned their attention towards Brazilian Costa with Fiorentina still holding out for £27m for their Colombian winger Cuadrado.
Costa confirmed on Thursday night that the Barclays Premier League leaders had been in touch about a move to Stamford Bridge – one that the 24-year-old describes as a ‘dream’.
Chelsea are considering a double swoop for Costa and Cuadrado with Egyptian Mohamed Salah and German World Cup winner Andre Schurrle set for the Stamford Bridge exit.
However Costa's Ukrainian employers won't allow their star player to leave on the cheap as Chelsea look to seal both transfers before the deadline on February 2.

EXCLUSIVE: The Blues remain confident of landing one of their two South American targets in January, but Jose Mourinho has identified Moussa Sissoko as a potential signing
Chelsea are considering alternative potential signings to Juan Cuadrado and Douglas Costa after having approaches for both rejected.
Fiorentina and Shakhtar Donetsk are both seeking transfer fees in excess of €29.5 million for the Colombia and Brazil internationals respectively.
And while Chelsea remain confident of securing a deal for one of their two overseas-based targets before the January transfer window closes, they are looking at alternatives, mindful that there is only a week left to run before the deadline.
One such alternative is Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko, who has emerged as an alternative January signing should the club prove unable to agree a fee for either Cuadrado or Douglas.
Jose Mourinho is a long standing admirer of the Newcastle United midfielder, identifying the France international as a suitable reinforcement for a squad competing for silverware on three fronts.
With Newcastle owner Mike Ashley open to selling any of the club's players at a reasonable profit, Sissoko, 25, represents a lower-cost alternative to Cuadrado and Douglas.
Pls, Jose, no.
Looks like we're still after both Cuadrado and Costa.

Perhaps Pantic isn't coming yet.

Transfer news: Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado wants to join Chelsea
So, as it stands, both Douglas Costa and Cuadrado want to join Chelsea but neither club wants to sell below their buyout, 30m and 26m respectively.
So, I can only see us getting one, unless both Salah and Schurrle leave. Will be interesting.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9661484/transfer-news-fiorentina-winger-juan-cuadrado-wants-to-join-chelseaFiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado has made it clear he wants to join Chelsea, Sky sources understand.
The Serie A club are reluctant to let the Colombian winger leave for anything less than his £26.8m buyout clause, and Sky Sports News HQ understands discussions are still ongoing over a potential move to Stamford Bridge before the deadline.

Re: January Transfer Window 2015
According to Luke di Marzio Roma has made official offers for Konoplyanka and Luiz Adriano and according to Hapless_Hans Wolfsburg has firmly denied that there's any truth in the Schuerrle rumours.
Guess we'll stick with Salah and Schuerrle.

Andre Schurrle to miss Liverpool semi-final as he moves closer to Wolfsburg switch

I'd do that, Schurrle out, Cuadrado in.
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/554507/Chelsea-Juan-Cuadrado-personal-terms
Sounds like BS, but you never know.CHELSEA have agreed personal terms with Juan Cuadrado, according to reports.
Cuadrado is Jose Mourinho's top transfer target and the Portuguese tactician is believed to be increasingly confident of clinching a move.
The Blues have to offload either Andre Schurrle or Mohamed Salah to push ahead with a move, and Wolfsburg are thought to be closing in on a £25m deal for Schurrle.
And it seems that Chelsea are closing in on Cuadrado, with reports surfacing on the continent indicating an agreement over personal terms has been reached.
The broader details of the transfer are yet to be disclosed, but La Viola want Chelsea to raise their bid.
Cuadrado's current release clause stands at £26.8m and the Blues will need to act quickly to get the deal over the line with just six days to go before the window closes.
The Fiorentina winger was linked to Manchester United last summer, but a deal failed to materialise.
Andre Schurrle to miss Liverpool semi-final as he moves closer to Wolfsburg switch
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/11370111/Chelsea-transfer-news-Andre-Schurrle-to-miss-Liverpool-semi-final-as-he-moves-closer-to-Wolfsburg-switch.html
André Schürrle is expected again to be missing from the Chelsea squad tonight as Wolfsburg attempt to strike a deal to sign the German international.
The official reason for Schürrle’s probable absence against Liverpool in the second leg of Chelsea’s Capital One Cup semi-final is the back injury that was blamed for him missing the FA Cup defeat against Bradford City.
Wolfsburg officials travelled to London over the weekend to hold talks with Chelsea about the possibility of signing Schürrle before the January transfer window shuts.
It is also believed that Schürrle’s father, Joachim, was with Wolfsburg officials yesterday as the German club attempt to structure a deal that will suit them and Chelsea. Chelsea are demanding around £25 million to sell Schürrle this month, but Wolfsburg would prefer to take him on loan until the end of the season, with the guarantee of a permanent transfer in the summer.
I'd do that, Schurrle out, Cuadrado in.

Re: January Transfer Window 2015
Maybe their "sources" can tell them the point of a buy-out clause in the first place. If it's met, their consent is irrelevant.
