The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
Since there have been plenty of rumours surrounding our Jan activity, I figured I'd start this thread early.
The Standard are reporting that Jose has a wishlist of 6 players he wants to purchase and 2 players he wants to get rid of. The list is: Stones, Marquinhos, Gurijc, Neves, Teixira, and Lacazette. With Falcao and Djliobodji (who?) departing.
http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/revealed-jose-mourinhos-january-transfer-wishlist-submitted-to-chelsea-board-a3115401.html?#gallery
Tuttosport are reporting that we want Stefano Sensi from Cesena in Serie B, he is being touted as the new Verratti.
http://www.tuttosport.com/news/calcio/calciomercato/2015/11/16-5928439/calciomerc_inter_due_anni_di_thohir/?cookieAccept
Djliobodji (Who?) has reportedly already agreed to join Besiktas in Jan, according to the Metro.
http://metro.co.uk/2015/11/16/chelsea-star-papy-djilobodji-has-already-agreed-january-transfer-to-besiktas-according-to-former-sporting-director-sinan-engin-5505734/
Personally, I see us letting Falcao and Djliobodji go, and purchasing Neves, Lacazette and maybe a defender, although I'd prefer a RB to a CB like Stones.

Seems like a typical Chelsea January signing.

I'd certainly take him and get rid of Falcao.

Because Mourinho's ego.
He was never going to be anything other than a failure, imo.

Re: The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
http://www.espnfc.us/story/2718306/chelsea-target-boca-juniors-striker-jonathan-calleri-sourcesChelsea are weighing up a move for highly-rated Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri, sources have told ESPN FC.
Calleri, 22, is seen as one of the best young strikers in South America and has impressed at Boca Juniors since joining from Club Atletico All Boys in 2014.
He has scored 21 goals and provided 11 assists in all competitions this season.
Sources have already told ESPN FC that Chelsea are looking for striking reinforcements in January, and scouts reportedly watched Calleri in action in this week's friendly with Mexican side Puebla FC, which Boca lost 1-0.
Stoke City have had a long-term interest in the striker, who has also caught the eye of Arsenal and Inter Milan, but Chelsea are ready to make a move when the transfer window reopens.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is seeking a proven goal-scorer to boost his struggling side, who are currently 16th in the table.
Last season's top scorer Diego Costa has netted just two Premier League goals so far, while Radamel Falcao has scored one and Loic Remy has yet to score in the league.
Sources told ESPN FC that Falcao's loan spell from Monaco could be cut short in order to free up space in the squad.

http://www.football365.com/news/martinez-everton-wont-sell-stars-in-januaryRoberto Martinez wrote:"I am not worried at all. Our best players will not be leaving in January."
"We're not in a position where we have to make financial decisions and our focus is on being as strong as we can together and keeping the continuity. From our point of view the window in January will be to see if there's anything to help our squad."
"We don't look on it as a window to be really involved whether that's buying or selling, it's more a matter of continuity. It's about developing competition for places between the ones we already have."

Alex Teixira will cost us over 30m pounds in Jan, according to the Standard. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-transfer-news-blues-told-alex-teixeira-will-cost-at-least-30m-in-january-a3118466.html

I think it's just general interest, we're interested in a lot of teenagers, really.

The standard are reporting that Inter will offer Bran a pre contract in January.
http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-transfer-news-branislav-ivanovic-to-be-offered-lucrative-precontract-by-inter-milan-a3126821.html
The main thing they have over us is their willingness to offer him a two year deal, compared to our one year deal (If we even offer one).
I think it's probably time he left. We can then move forward and look to buy a new FB.

Saido Berahino has been demoted to the U-21 side at WBA, putting Chelsea and Spurs on high alert to sign him in Jan, reports the Sun.
Wouldn't be surprised to see us make a move for him, as long as we can get rid of Flopcao.

I know, because you think very long term. That is not what Chelsea needs right now
I could care ess, Ibra is ageless and at the moment he is invincible. If he's available, Chelsea should go after him and he could play for them for a couple of seasons.

Re: The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
What we need right now is the next season.
There is no point in thinking short term when we have nothing to play for. Better to think towards next season, and Ibra may not be as good next season.

Re: The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
He'll still be the best CF for the next couple of seasons.
If Chelsea can get someone who is young and half as good as he is, then by all means they can try.
But fact is that most of the teams would rather twist the knife in Chelsea's wounds and not sell them their players except for insane sums of money.

Re: The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
No, he won't.
Players drop off rapidly at that age, so while he is doing well now. He could well be trash next season, or get one bad injury and be finished. It's not worth it. We're better off getting someone young, who can build up form towards next season.
That said, I'd rather sign a CM and a RB before we even think of getting a CF.

Re: The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
That remains a possibility, but it's worth a shot.
As I said, he's the best CF and will remain the best for at least another couple of seasons.
His strengths are different to those which you are used to. So I commend your relying on your information data base and past experiences, but it doesn't necessarily apply here.
If Chelsea can find a good CF then by all means they can go for one, but not Remy, Falcao, Costa good because that is simply not enough and I know you were very much in awe with their signatures so don't mind me if I challenge your opinions as they have been far from spot on.
Chelsea's problems are many, and it will take more than a CB, CF, and RB to resolve. I have explained to you in great depths previously what and where the problems are, but your stance was always that, Willian is mediocre, Cesc is the best, Remy is the goat, Oscar is handsome and full of stamina, and matic is awesome and Chelsea over all is juust fine. and we all know that this couldn't be further from the truth. To be fair, so did the other Chelsea posters

Re: The 2016 January Transfer Window Thread
Apparently we're after Matuidi, who is looking to leave PSG, according to the Metro. If that happened, I would jump for joy. he is a beast.
Pato was at SB watching us play Porto, too. So naturally there are rumours we want to sign him.

Us? Want to sign an injury-riddled, made-of-glass busted flush striker whose best form is years behind him? NEVER!
