José Mourinho looking to keep his ‘very, good but thin’ squad together as Chelsea boss claims he won't be buying in January:

"No [if he would be making any January purchases]. We have a short squad but we’ve got good players, some younger, some older, but the squad is very, very good."
"Our project is to start and finish the season with the same group of players, so there will be nobody to leave and nobody to come in either."

Kevin Strootman would be solid. But I don't think we'll sign anyone.

Not too far off the window and it doesn't look like many changes will be made. Although, Bellarabi and Strootman would make this team near perfect.

It is very difficult to invest in players at the same time as building the stadium. We do not have stadium income.

As long as he is replaced by Thorgan Hazard, I don't care, tbh.

Not in January but if we got Hummels and Rues we would walk the league next year. Cahill cannot continue as our first choice CB next year

Why not? Cahill has done a great job.

From next season, we will need a new CB partnership. Cahill-Terry are aging and losing some pace and sharpness.

Cahill won't be the one to be replaced though.

Kick, who will you want to replace Terry?
Hummels if not such injury-prone, I would have loved him.

Re: January Transfer Window 2015
I want to see one of Zouma, Kalas or Christensen given a shot before we buy someone. Even if it is 6 months. Gaz has the mould of the JT so I'd like a youngster to be mentored by him.
What I don't want is what happened to Barca, lost Puyol and panic bought Verm and Mathieu.
assuming Terry starts regressing next season, I'd like to see one of the aforementioned rotated with him alongside Cahill, at least for 6 months. If it doesn't work, fine, lets buy someone. Then I'll let you know who I want to buy.

So our starting CB pairing from August to February of next season should be Cahill-Christensen. Lmao.

You've dropped some right whoppers on here before, but that's got to be one of your personal best.

But the next 6 months happen to be most important part of this season.

Re: January Transfer Window 2015
I did. Thought maybe you said we should be giving them some minutes here and there next season and that I just misread it or something, but nope.
Unless you're saying we should be playing one of those 3 over Terry (ya know, best centre-half in the Premiership right now on current form and all that) intermittently until the summer, which is no less ludicrous.

Is that helpful?
I am not saying Christensen should be our starting CB. I am saying, assuming JT regresses, the best out of the three should be rotated with JT, with Cahill being the constant. For at least 6 months.
Understand?
