What do you guys think of signing a DM capable of playing CB like Gustavo or Carvalho and a ST and leave a CB out altogether?

We could use Chambers as 3rd CB and the DM as 4th choice if necessary since we do have options in midfield and have four fullbacks.

Just a thought, anyone think it would work? That way we get a new ST as well.

Who are our 4 fullbacks? I don't think we should really count Gibbs. Last season, even Vermaelen had to slot in at LB at times. Who will do that this season?

Debuchy and Bellerin looks like he's staying
Gibbs is our starting LB, even if he's injury prone it doesn't make sense not to count him. And Monreal.

That is a good question. I had thought that he was on the last year of his contract and was refusing to sign a new one.

PSG were asking for €30mil and, presumably, Arsenal have pulled out.

I'm happy that Podolski is now staying, especially in light of Giroud's injury. We need to keep the goals in the squad.

No. PSG are asking between 10-12 mil according to L'Equipe and Le Parisien. Since he would be free come January, teams aren't pulling the trigger. Problem now is that the Spurs have offered the 12 mil.... but Rabiot prefers Arsenal, Juve or Roma. However, if nobody matches the offer, he'll go to the Spurs.

Podolski cannot play CF AT ALL... he doesn't know how to make the runs needed even a little bit at that position. I'm not saying he's a bad footballer... just that he's not a CF.

We only looking for wingers who can play as strikers once a while. :facepalm:

Podolski isnt a CF at all. So unless Wenger buys we're screwed. I will wait until the window closes, but if Wenger does not buy a striker than he has lost the plot.
