I would assume that LVG plans on using him in central midfield where he operated quite often for Ajax last term, though it's conceivable that he'll be shifted out wide when Shaw isn't available, unless he plans on trusting Young in a deeper position on a long term basis.

Also there are reports that Van Ginkel has until noon Italian time to agree to a loan move to Milan or not.
