Barcelona to make opening bid of "30M + 6-7M incentives + Alexis" for Liverpool's Luis Suarez. Clubs will talk in coming days

There's two different reports from what i read.

1. Sanchez wants to go to Arsenal and doesn't want to talk to Liverpool.

2. The report you posted with Barca want to offer Sanchez plus money for Suarez.

Basically Sport are braindead

As i said before, the only way Sanchez ends up at Liverpool is in a deal for Suarez, Di Marzio said a while ago that Sanchez wants Arsenal.

Unless Suarez goes to Barca then Sanchez will either stay or go to Arsenal, this isn't anything new either its been known for a while.

Di Marzio also aid Liverpool are close to signing Shaqiri .And two days later we are signing Lallana.

I dont know which spanish daily are reliable almost every paper seems to make them up atleast with English media u can judge based on reporters how reliable it is.

Where will Alexis play should he come to Arsenal? Well, I assume Walcott doesn't get himself injured again in next season. Will he play behind Giroud or to the right of him?

Most likely at LW I think. If not then there might be a shift in formation and we play with 2 upfront.

There is also rumors of Atleti seriously wanting to get Santi Carzola. So maybe the plan is to have Ozil play behind Giroud and Alexis on either wing with Walcott/Podolski/Ox on the other? Seems possible

Would make for a faster attack as oppose to having one of Ozil/Santi drift to the wings which is what they are currently doing

If Arsenal let Santi Cazorla leave, why they refused to bring back Cesc? I thought with Santi and Ozil Arsenal have no room for another CAM. Now if they let Santi go and Ozil gets himself injured or loses his form wont they moan again about their injury luck?

Anyway, Alexis is always a good addition. Arsenal lacked width with Santi playing at LW.

so if ozil doesnt get injured, where do u play cesc and ozil together? it never made sense. If cazorla is gone, you can sign another jobber to back up ozil. rosicky was mostly awesome in that role last year anyway.

Reports saying we will force Barca to include sanchez in Suarez deal, unless they want to pay 80m all in cash up-front.

Barca can't afford that, and even if they sell Sanchez to someone else, they won't get all the money up-front that is needed to pay for Suarez.

meaning, Liverpool basically hold all the cards here.

But then, last summer Arsenal signed Higuain, Suarez, Rooney, Gustavo, etc ....so you never know

He is though, if you analyze every single one of his tweets (before he removes those who prove to be wrong).

But, us as fans, would like to believe there is one person who knows everything, and forgetting what he gets wrong, and praise him for what he gets right.

He is one of the best out there. Last summer he wasa monster and I don't remember him getting a single thing wrong. This year, I have not been following transfers much though.

sepi, barca can sell him to another team, use that money and pay u the rest, it doesnt matter for them.

If Barca sell Sanchez to someone else, it's very unlikely that they get all the amount UP-FRONT.

Whereas the clause has to be paid UP-FRONT . all money. that was my point.

and its '80M pounds, but you've been saying 80m euros...that was the difference.

ah ok, i see it makes a difference, but all that up front thing, always get resolved in negotiations... that's what negotiations are for...

anyway, glad we are out of it, will be fun to see how it unfolds

It would be in Liverpool's interest to lower their demands if Alexis is to be included in the deal IMO. If Barca sell Alexis to someone else in the EPL like Arsenal or United and pay cash only to Liverpool because they remain stingy with their buyout demand that would only strengthen direct rivals of Liverpool and which other player of Sanchez caliber can Liverpool get this window? Rather Sanchez + € 30M than Sanchez going to United and asking € 80M cash IMO.

There is also the fact that Suarez is going to miss 9 Premier League games which include City, Everton, Southampton, Spurs and West Ham. Immediately after his ban comes the Chelsea fixture after a 4 month ban where Suarez didn't even train with his teammates. With Chelsea further strenghtening, Arsenal being 4th place specialists, City being City and United having a real coach, no CL distraction and added quality to the squad, I don't see how Liverpool will stay in the top 4 with a team built around Suarez without Suarez in 1 quarter of the season. And if they don't it will be much harder to attract players like Sanchez next summer and you can be sure of some Suarez shenanigans again.

That biting incident really screwed Liverpool. Should have banned him from more international footy so that he misses the next Copa America or something. Liverpool are the biggest victims here.

without suarez you dont finish in the top 4 last season, stop kidding yourself using that ridiculous record to justify that you dont need him to be successful. It's down right laughable. The jump on competitiveness Suarez gave you with his consistency killing scrub was the main reason you went so far last year.

@Futbol, your argument makes sense but for 9 games Pool can survive, and i think not having him for the beginning of the season wont be that prejudicial for them. they can still get results and stay around the top until suarez returns.

@BG, I really think that stat doesnt give a real picture of what we are without Suarez.

There is a difference btw Suarez enhancing the team and giving us more edge AND team build around him.

The reason why kill scrub teams with ease is because of our system where we create abundance of chances.Obviously Suarez being world class player helps but main factor is the system and BR .

Our system wasnt build around anyone.We missed Suarez for 6 games last year and we managed to stay close to top comfortably and now with lot more depth its laughable to say we cant stay in touch for 3 more games.
