I would be really pissed if Spurs moved on Holtby, such a critically under valued player. Not sure what he needs to do to get some love, but if we are going to waste him please someone give him a good home.

Ronaldo is going to have to cross the ball more with our play going through the wings now. And if it goes through the wings we will need a striker to aim at so yes Falcao is indeed needed. The only reason he drifted to CF was because he could afford to, now he can't. Our change in style is clear. The first player Kroos aims for are our fullbacks/wingers

CR drifts at CF because that's his game, and that's how he scores 50 goals a season. If you think CR will stay outwide crossing the ball so that Falcao can score goals for a whole season

I would be upset too, but at the same time I want to see him start at a good club and be the central man in a 4-2-3-1 and flourish, because that's not happening now with Tottenham and I'm not sure it ever will. Unless he can learn the tactical discipline to play as a CM in that formation next to Capoue or learns to play on the wing (where he is wasted) then he is never going to start for Tottenham unfortunately. He'll get plenty of time, but he'll never start, and that's a bit too bad. The reality is though, Eriksen and Lamela are both better in that position and are also more versatile.

I would be upset because I want to keep him, but it would be similar to Sigurdsson leaving. I would understand it and be happy for him. Spurs would have to bring in a fairly quality squad player to make up for his loss though...

CR drifts but that is true for almost every forward player at the top level nowadays. No, CR will still be mostly on the left whether Falcao comes or not.

Ronaldo drifted because he afforded to do so. It all depends on what game, There are games where he is going to have to stick to the wings and there are others we won't be punished if he did drift. What is clear however is that we are switching to a more wing oriented style and Ronaldo drifting to the center will hamper us.

That doesn't mean he has to be glued to the wing but instead play more like he did under Mourinho ie mostly on the wing but also drifting everywhere with a free role. The amount of time we had the ball in crossing positions only to have nobody to aim at was astonishing. We are going tonlook like Bayern of last sason if we don't get a proper striker

the two big CFs sharing time doesnt work. it's a temporary gimmick that you do to weed out the weak. You guys can just as well tell me that Benzema is not good enough and you want Falcao in.

Problem is, Carlo 100% believes in Benzema, and i can also think of a lot of games where his playmaking is needed. CR and Bale are horrendous with the ball trying to create moves. I still see CR running inside the box 100 times per games to get his shots. what happens to Falcao then? that's all i am asking.

Maybe signing Reus is a good idea in that case lmao. He does everything Benzema does anyway plus he actually presses and defends well

Seriously though I answer your question with another. What if we are playing against a compact and physical team who bully Benzema out of the game? What happens then? That scenario is scarier to me than the one you are wondering about.

Benzema's "chance creation" is non existent against the likes of Atleti and Bilbao, as well as certain teams away from home. If we are serious about winning the league then we need to handle away games a lot better than last season.

I think you are making things look alot more complicated than they are. Higuain worked very well with Ronaldo around and he is also a poacher but back then we had both Ozil and DiMaria spraying passes this time we have none so we are FORCED to play through the wing and if Ronaldo prefers to be a CF then he should let Carlo know so that he can be moved but he won't because not only does he not like it but he can also stay on the wings mostly just like under Mourinho. Also Falcao is called a poacher for a reason he only needs one chance to score one goal so if Ronaldo cuts and wants to choose he can do it but he doesn't do it on a loop all game lol so Falcao will get his chances

The price is my only concern 60 mill for a guy who will turn 29 is bad business but who am I kidding. In Perez' eyes that's a bargain so I am done talking prices

Signing Reus is a buffoonery that started on twitter, and Reus is a not a center forward. Why would he suddenly become one?

If a team traps our CF because they defend in masses, then other players need to do more, like the fullbacks creating width, putting accurate crosses in the box (something we fail at), guys like CR and Bale need to make smarter decision with the ball. Midfielders need to run in from behind to open gaps.

Why do you think Falcao would not get bullied by those same defenses? You are talking about a player that is entirely reliant on getting the ball in the box. If we currently fail at feeding benzema vs a packed defense, why would that be any different with Falcao? Atletico would bully him the same.

CR enjoys the freedom to move wherever he wants. Carlo understands that. He cant play in a central position because that limits his moves and he would be surrounded by 4 players all games. So to avoid that, he starts outwide and makes cutting runs that defenses cant react to.

Signing Falcao means that we have to pump the ball into the box a lot more, and we arent doing that now. How about we try to fee Benzema first, and we see how it goes?
