Of course, reports link us with a €25million offer for Alexis but if Porto wouldn't go for less than £35m Martinez then it would be better spent on Sanchez.

I think Jackson Martinez would be a good acquisition. Probably better than almost any striker options that aren't Benzema-level.

Unless we're including wide forward types like Alexis Sanchez, but with this WC, if he leaves Barca this summer it's going to be for a lots of cash. Heaps of it.

But then again maybe the reason Le Boss is so chillaxed in Brazil is because he's already wrapped up a £15 million bargain fee for Alexis back at the end of May and was just going to wait for the World Cup to finish to announce the deal.   (one can dream)

I wouldn't put too much stock in 20hfoot calling Giroud-to-Arsenal. He'd just come off a great breakout season in France and was being linked to a lot of places (legitimately or otherwise).

That all said, really, Sanchez + Schneiderlin would be a fairly successful pair of acqusitions. Really.
