Re: The Movie House - Part 4
Locke? 7.8 imdb and Tom Hardy? needs to be seen.
Anyone seen Fracture? Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling. Great movie. If you are into crime/mystery films you will love this.

So we will probably get a Justice League movie in 2016. Ray Fisher has been cast as Cyborg.

Why would they make a Flash movie at the same time as a possible tv-show?RealGunner wrote:2017 more like. Flash movie is coming out in 2016 I think

The same reason they make Batman and GL movies at the same time as tv cartoons and a Gotham tv show... because they think they can make money off of both.Freeza wrote:Why would they make a Flash movie at the same time as a possible tv-show?RealGunner wrote:2017 more like. Re: The Movie House - Part 4
They're very hesitant to show any confidence in their universe at the moment. So I highly doubt they're going to make two live action versions of Flash, it would only confuse the average movie goer. But since it's a pilot, I hope it doesn't get made, since I'd rather want a higher budget film with an actor who is not that fellow from Glee.RedOranje wrote:The same reason they make Batman and GL movies at the same time as tv cartoons and a Gotham tv show... because they think they can make money off of both.Freeza wrote:Why would they make a Flash movie at the same time as a possible tv-show?RealGunner wrote:2017 more like. Re: The Movie House - Part 4
That's where Marvel has done so well. Their whole universe is connected in both TV and Movies. They constantly reference incidents of Avengers/Thor/Captain America in their Marvel Agents of Shield TV Shows. Despite of it being a mediocre show, it at least connects everything.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
I honestly don't think anyone but the superhero nerds care about the connections. Most people just want to watch a standalone film that doesn't have a predictable plot line, wooden acting and utter drivel for dialogue.

Well to be honest, the only superhero movies that hasn't been connected or had sequels are the ones that flopped hard.Forza wrote:I honestly don't think anyone but the superhero nerds care about the connections. Sequels are a vastly different thing to a connected universe. And just because Marvel has gone for a combined movie/tv show canon does not mean that DC must follow in their footsteps. People have been able to keep track of, and understand the difference between, different universes or canons since the inception of film and comics... to suggest that they suddenly cannot just because Marvel's managed to succeed while doing something different is incredibly myopic.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
RO beat me to the punch there.
To add to this debate, I come from the perspective of an avid film watcher who has been underwhelmed with most superhero films I have seen for the reasons I listed in my first comment. If I don't care about the 'universe', I doubt the casual movie-goer probably cares about the integration of a film franchise in a TV series either, and especially not if the TV series isn't any good. When you watch a film, no matter if it is a sequel or part of a larger 'universe' of characters, you still demand to see a completed storyline within that 1.5-3hrs. A recent example of failure to do this was Thor 2. The film was integrated with SHIELD, a sequel to the incredibly successful Thor 1, linked in to the Avengers movie by the title character - yet the entire film felt like a filler episode in a B-grade TV series.

Batman/Superman is stacked. Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Lois Lane, Alfred, Cyborg.
You better deliver Snyder.

Everything (the hype, lots of action heroes, the actors) is just set-up for it to fail.RealGunner wrote:I am worried about that movie. Really worried.

I don't care much about superhero movies tbf, unless it's just solely about Batman. So I really don't care.
Nolan should just leave the production and everything completely and focus on making other glorious sci-fi movies. Or a James Bond flick.

Re: The Movie House - Part 4
I'm not really worried, I loved Man of Steel. It was better than anything Marvel has done bar the three IM1, CA2 and Avengers, and on par with IM imo. Really liked that version of Superman. I don't think Victor Stones accident will happen just yet. It's just their way to introduce him without making a standalone. As much as people hate Watchmen, I think that movie showed that Snyder can handle multiple heroes in a movie. I think the hysteria just comes from people being disappointed in not having a MOS2. The same thing about TASM2, people complained and whined about too many characters, Rhyno was not in for mroe than 2 minutes.
EDIT: They have also already filmed some football scenes for the movie, Victor Stone is a football star, so I think he'll be somewhat of an easter egg. The signing of Ray Fisher could probably also be just to get him under contract as fast as posible to get him signed up before the Justice League movie.

Freeza remember to watch a bittersweet life when you have the time, I want to see what you think of it. Like I mentioned I'm on a bit of a Korean movie spree lately, can't believe I've been neglecting foreign language movies so much, they produce some amazing stuff.
