Actually didn't think Daredevil Director's cut was that bad. Whatever was wrong with that film wasn't because of Affleck in any way. Affleck has also improved leaps and bounds as an actor since that movie, and is actually good to great as of now. I have no doubt he will nail the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne.

@Red
Never watched Ghost Rider and R.I.P.D, so can't comment on them. Lol I forgot Catwoman Laughing worst piece of garbage I have ever watched.

Just watched the premiere of TASM2 and I really liked it, didn't think it was too overcrowded, only 2 villains in reality. Dane Dehaan was great as always. The movie focused much on the relationship between Gwen and Peter, which was necessary given the plot of the story. Really liked it. Not as good as CA2, but it's close and I probably enjoyed it equally due to Andrew Garfield's wit as Peter Parker.

I actually went to the theatre to see Catwoman Laughing...it was a date, mind you, but bah gawd.....I'm still mourning to the 2 hours of my life I lost that night.

Ghost Rider was awful....the 2nd one even worse....I really can't believe what they did to Mephisto ffs....he's such an awesome villain in the comics and they basically made him a poverty level mobster

On another comic movie related note.....what does everyone think of the new Fantastic Four casting?

Director is Josh Trank, who directed the sleeper hit Chronicle.
Kate Mara from House of Cards - Sue Storm/ Invisible Woman
Michael B. Jordan from Fruitvale Station, as well as Chronicle - Johnny Storm/ Human Torch
Virtual unknown Miles Teller - Reed Richards/ Mr. Fantastic
Jamie Bell from the Eagle - Ben Grimm/The Thing
Toby Kebbell from War Horse - Viktor von Doom/ Dr. Doom

I think these are bold castings obviously. Jordan's casting obviously is the one that stands out, but I actually like it quite a bit. It's become a thing these days to cast outside of the established race of many of these characters. I don't think he'll do the role any harm. A younger cast than the first group should be good to see as well.

Josh Trank is the director, Miles Teller is the one who is Reed. Which is a casting I like tbh, he and Michael B. Jordan both have won best actor at Sundance now, and a future superstars, so that's great to have on board. Not so sure about Kate Mara and Jamie Bell yet. But looking forward to the film anyways, it can't be worse than the first installments

I actually loved Daredevil. hmm
Back when I was a young boy, it was my favourite movie.

Fell in love with Evanescence's "Bring Me To Life" which is on the soundtrack of Daredevil.

Yeah I think so
Spoiler:
Most of the movie was building up to it, there was some clichés for people who knew it was going to happen. Like "I can't lose you Gwen" and such. But I really felt for him when it happened. Dane Dehaan was so Evil in the scene.
The movie doesn't deserve all the negativity it has received in a lot of reviews imo. I think it's a 4/5 movie.

Well tbh, the cinematic version of Daredevil is crap, but the Director's cut is fairly decent/good.
The cinematic version doesn't explain so many things, it's awful.

Depends on what you like, the main characters are sooo much better than the SM2. Andrew Garfield nails Peter Parker as I imagine him, and his chemistry with Emma Stone in undeniable. Whereas I never felt Tobey Macguire and Kirsten Dunst had any connection, and I hated his Spider-man. SM2 edges the Villain part though. But I need to watch it again to decide. I would probably choose TASM2, but that's because I don't like Tobey's version of Spider-man.

Tobey and Dunst are nothing in terms of acting compared to Andrew and Emma. The former couple is easily the best in CBM history. That could be put down the fact that they are a couple in real life, but all in all their chemistry in amazing

SM3 was ruined by the fans(specially comic book fans) expectations. The director said time and time again he didn't want to do Venom in the 3rd movie and just wanted to focus on Peter and Harry. But the fans pressure got to them and they had to use Venom which was absolutely awful. It is a shame as SM 1 and 2 had so much promise.

Regarding the acting. Toby was the perfect ultimate Spiderman while Garfield is the perfect Amazing spiderman. They are two different universes. Both have different type of Peter parkers. Ultimate was the cheesy, fun, happy peter parker while Amazing is dark and more serious with more wit than jokes.

All I can say about the Tobey's Spider-Man and Andrew's is that Emma Stone >>> Kirsten Dunst, and that's basically all that matters to me.
So yeah, The Amazing Spider-Man >>> Spider-Man
Even though I liked Tobey more as Spider-Man.

Cool interview with Zack Snyder about Man of Steel 2:

When you came aboard Man of Steel, were you thinking in the back of your mind, "I could be the guy who gets to reboot Batman on film too!"

I gotta be honest, it definitely was a thing that… after Man of Steel finished and we started talking about what would be in the next movie, I started subtly mentioning that it would be cool if he faced Batman. In the first meeting, it was like, "Maybe Batman?" Maybe at the end of the second movie, some Kryptonite gets delivered to Bruce Wayne's house or something. Like in a cryptic way, that's the first time we see him. But then, once you say it out loud, right? You're in a story meeting talking about, like, who should [Superman] fight if he fought this giant alien threat Zod who was basically his equal physically, from his planet, fighting on our turf… You know, who to fight next? The problem is, once you say it out loud, then it's kind of hard to go back, right? Once you say, "What about Batman?" then you realize, "Okay, that's a cool idea. What else?" I mean, what do you say after that? …But I'm not gonna say at all that when I took the job to do Man of Steel that I did it in a subversive way to get to Batman. I really believe that only after contemplating who could face [Superman] did Batman come into the picture...

This year is the 75th anniversary of the first published Batman story, of course. But when the Man of Steel sequel hits theaters, it'll be the 75th anniversary of Wonder Woman's first appearance in comics as well. And this year happens to be the 40th anniversary of Wonder Woman's first live-action appearance, in the Cathy Lee Crosby TV movie on ABC. And on top of all of that, your "Man of Steel" sequel releases during the 35th anniversary of the first Christopher Reeve Superman film, too. So there's all of these anniversaries and all of this history coming together around this production. Had you realized how significant the timing of this film was going to be? And that you'd be launching the first movie really showing and firmly establishing the much bigger DC Universe on film at this important time in everyone's history?

We just went through Superman's 75th, and it was very exciting… and to me, it was just really awesome. And the idea of having the Batman 75th and the Wonder Woman 75th together is kind of an amazing thing, too… The thing also that's really fascinating for me is that, even just in the tests we've been doing, the costumes, right? You basically have Batman and Superman — and this is without Ben [Affleck] and Henry [Cavill] in the costumes, but just like the stand-ins, just testing to see what the costumes look like. And you have them standing there and they're standing in the same shot — and then we have Wonder Woman, you know, all three of them in the same shot. Even just for a test, you really have to go, "Wow, that's crazy!" Not only is it the first time that I'm seeing them, it's the first time they've ever existed together on screen in a movie. And that's kind of a huge deal. Even just Batman and Superman standing next to each other… [I]t's kind of epic. You do sort of sense the weight of the pop culture iconography jumping out of its skin when you're standing there looking at the two of them and Wonder Woman. It's crazy. But it's fun. I mean, I have the first photo, I've got it in my archive because I was like, "Okay, I better keep this, it's gonna be worth something," [laughs]!

Avi wanted Venom. Raimi's favorite villains were Sandman and Vulture. He was forced to use GG in SM1 just like he has forced to use Venom in the third. And it seems to me that he is trying to do the same with Webb. This Sinister Six movie and the expanded universe will be made to compete with Marvel.

BTW, Garfield to me is more of the Ultimate Spidey, while Tobey is Ditko's reincarnation.

Just watched L.A. Confidential great, great movie Proud
Solidt performances from the three main guys. Guy Pearce needs to get back to making great films, like he has done in this one and Memento, because he is a great actor. Kevin Spacey and Russell Crowe are universally regarded as some of the greatest actors in the last 30 years, and this just shows why. I am ashamed that it took me so long to watch this one... 5/5 from me. Really liked it.

^^^yeah it's awesome.
I also thought Pearce outshone both Spacey and Crowe in this one. But they were great all three.

Pearce has made some poverty choices in the films that he has starred in recently. Don't think he'll get a big role again in his career.

I've been wanting to watch it for a while now, but my local theater wasn't showing it...before then shutting down.

We're having a bigger theater set up in town, I'm assuming the local theater decided to shut down before being run out of business (I doubt it was doing anywhere near well anyway). So now there is no theater here for a good month or two I think Laughing

Good to hear you thought it was fantastic, I look forward to seeing it when I can.

Michael C. Hall is amazing, I hope he finally gets his big break in movies. He was great in Kill Your Darlings. He's been one of the kings of tv drama for the last 15 years, so I def think he can be great in movies.
