Except Benz was MOTM in the first half and should have had 3 assists, not 2, if Bale wasn't god awful with his finishing. Only went to the bench because we were up 3-1 away and it was stupid to keep 3 strikers with 3 attack-minded mids. I would have taken Bale off... who was a donkey until he scored... but what can you do.

As far as the second assist, he dribbled the keeper and defender, then was taken down.  Since he dribbled and the ball then got to Ronaldo, it's an assist:

His job was to play the 9,5-10 role and he did it to perfection.  Made the difference when the game was competitive, not when we were up 5-1 or 6-1

there is a strong correlation  between being butthurt over higuain's departure and hating on benzema in this site
it's not just " fanzemas " who complain about the hate the guy is getting .... few months ago someone made a thread asking about the most scrutinized player in this site , benzema won by a landslide .. even some of this site's admins and mods agreed
