This is a typical Mourinho start of the season with a new team. Mourinho's 1st and only real objective was "not losing".

It's how he builds his teams mental strenght they become fearless and relentless. This team just went to Old Trafford and didn't lose, at the champions home ground.

Mourinho's home ground stats aren't just luck, he works for them. His teams are invencible at home and don't lose in their rivals home ground. Mentally that counts and that's how the winning mentality is created.

Next time Chelsea will go to Old Trafford "knowing" they won't lose that they can't lose.

Today's game was simply to create that mentality, that belief in invincibility. Small price to pay if these kids will later step onto a pitch knowing that they will win 3 points or walk away with a point, losing happens to other teams.

On the matter Eto'o is definitely an improvement for Chelsea. Not saying he will overshadow RVP or something, but he is capable of leaving his mark

That's not the point, I know you will refuse to admit this because that's the type of person you are. You were laughing at the signing of a 32 year old Eto'o only because of your ignorance to what level he is right now. Most shrewd football fans will know what a good signing this is and a real upgrade to the Chelsea team, but you laughed it off based on what exactly? Sure he's not Rooney standard, but he provides much greater value than Rooney and I'm defo happy with that.

He hasn't set the lge alight in Russia and has looked disinterested over there. At 32 he won't get that sharpness back that you lose when you go at it half assed.
Stop gap and shows Jose isn't confident about this season, he's building and planning for next year.
