Yup! Time to start recouping the Neymar transfer one penny at a time

Bring in a capable midfielder to replace Xavi and take minutes off his tired legs and also bring in some one to bench Mascherano? And Samper and Doungou used more often? Bring it!

Such a better looking squad with just two new signings on the field (not counting the keeper slots. Even then, Reina is a huge upgrade over Pinto).

Looks like according to that chart the players that would go would be Song, Tello, Afellay, Bojan, Valdes, Sergi, Kerrison (dafaq is he still doing on the team....honestly...wtf.). We would be able to get a good amount of coin from these sales and freed up wages.

Puyol retiring or leaving or did they just leave him off the list?!

I wouldnt mind selling Mascherano and promoting Bagnack. Having Bagnack and Bartra as the back ups for Pique and Benatia

I think one of Song and Mascherano should leave.
Although, I think Song is a better fit for us than Mascherano as a DM, yet not good enough.

But, here's why I kept Mascherano and not Song:
1- Mascherano can still play against most Liga teams and manage to do a good job.
2- I don't think Barcelona will buy 2 Center backs.
3- Bagnacks is not ready yet, maybe in 2015-16 we'll sell Masche and promote Bagnack [although Bagnack should get some playing time in the Cup next season].

4- GUNDOGAN, to convince him to come. Having him compete with Xavi, Busquets and Song will leave 1 of the 4 (which is likely song) with very few playing time.
This is why keeping Song will just get away minutes from Samper. This is why I prefer to sell Song and give his minutes to Samper who should start getting minutes with 1st team next season!

*Sergi Roberto and Denis Suarez are talented, but Rafinha is ahead of them. There's only room for 1 player and I would choose Rafinha for next season.

*Tello is already not having enough playing time, with Deulofeu back next season he would have even less. Its better for his career to leave now and we can get about 15M from an EPL team for him!

*Benatia, I've watched enough Roma matches this season, Benatia is 26 years old (at his peak). He has the skills to succeed at Barcelona and most important he's GREAT in aerial duels which is our biggest problem (both defensively and offensively)!

*Its obvious that we have signed Ter Stegan for next season and most probably Reina will be Pinto's replacement!

* Oier, Bojan, Cuenca, Afellay should obviously leave too.
* Denis Suarez and Sergi Roberto (on loan)
* Tello (15M), Song (20M), Valdes (free), Puyol (retire but should stay at the club, coaching stuff maybe), Pinto (retire but should stay at the club).

Not the point. You have already come to the conclusion that's a great price...thats impossible to know right now.

You can say the same about any player then,

current situation:

Sanabria is
- 17 and unproven at senior level
- he wants to leave

we got 4.5M (could reach 12M including variables), that's a very good deal IMO.

That unproven stuff is nonesense man, either he is good or he isnt.

He wanted to leave and we sold him? So that means he had a contract? Which means we could of put a buyback in or something?

As I said, only time will tell if it is good or not.

I kinda side with Khaled here. Sanabria is good, but what he has is potential basically. He probably is not ready and you never know if he will become great or not at this point. 4,5 going up to 12 is not a bad price, specially considering the contractual situation.

If he turns out to be on the level of Pedro, I dont think in 5 years time anyone will think...good price that was.

Yeah, but it is a good price! What if he reaches Bojan's level/fate (whatever you want to call it). I mean Bojan was really HOT PROSPECT. Is he in our team now?

I think the problem is that he won't get the experience to develop into that kind of player because there are too many players ahead of him in the pecking order.

At senior level he has 26 year old Messi playing his position. In a similar age bracket he has Lee competing for the same spot (and Lee is a far greater talent). He would have never played here. We can't keep them all.

12m is more then enough for an unproven player, will he become the next pedro and probably sell for 25-30m? who knows but if he does i wont even be mad because if we keep him he wont reach any level worth more then 5m

Fully understood.

I didnt say it's a bad price either btw. I am simply saying, time will tell about that...I see no reason to shower praise on the deal already.

if true, and seems very likely that would be good now we just need a centerback, and replacement fullback for montoya.

Shocking if true.He doesnt deserve such an obscene contract,esepcially given the way he has played over the past year.Just goes to show how powerful he has become manipulating the club into giving him an outrageous contract he does not deserve.But of course I am supposed to believe that he is a nice little selless guy who only cares about the club and didnt just twist the board's arm here.But but its all Rosell's fault.

On a larger note,our wage policy is getting ridiculous and its just not sustainable.If we give Messi 25,Neymar will want 20.Iniesta is on 15 and there are a ton of other big earners at the club.We need to have a reasonable wage policy.Start putting caps or else we are going to find it difficult to make ends meet.So either put caps or go the Madrid way and insist on shared image rights if we insist on paying such obscene wages.Since players wont accept cuts in their wages,shared image rights is the way to go.The present policy is just not economically feasible.

I don't think it comes down to Messi being manipulative, but because the board has no idea how to control the wage structure. Obviously once someone makes more than Messi they will have to re-adjust his contract, he's the best player and needs to be the best payed in order to not destabilize the team dynamics.

Why are they giving Neymar a 20m a year contract in the first place? Because Madrid offered as much? Rosell should've said "I'm sorry, we can't pay you 20m, that would mean you make more than Messi and ruin our wage structure. Real Madrid might offer you more in wages, but with us you will keep all your image rights meaning that you will be making more money overall."

Exactly our board has given Messi this power within the club and should be held responsible. I'm sure if our bosses were giving us this power we'd take full advantage of it. It was Faus who first bought up the new contract issue and now they went to increase it. Neymar is a great player, but as BC said why's he getting 20m? He's just started with us and already is out top earner? This cause a lot of problems that board needs to fix. I kind like the way BM have their wage structure set up and they hardly bend over for any player. I want to see what happens with Kroos.

I kinda liked him a a defender and would of not minded seeing him at Barca maybe for depth signing..

Dont think he is good enough for Barca.

He is too error prone and inconsistent. One day he looks like Ayala, the next he making incredible errors in judgement. Porto are struggling right now but they wont shed a single tear im sure.
