Article states that it's Arsenal's board that's given the green light, not Liverpool.

In any case, reliability depends on the journalist, usually. In general, the Daily Mail is down there with the Mirror in the "not very reliable" category, but unlike the Sun and the Metro they do get the occasional story right.

THats another issue I have about the whole Suarez episode. The is no doubt that he would improve our attack. But would our strikers be able to hold the fort up until he shows up? Our Attack isnt as bad (after all we had one of the highest overall goal tallys) came up pretty short against better oppostions. How many title/cup chasing teams will me face during the first 10 games?

He's got six games left to run on his ban iirc. Our first six games of the season are against Villa, Fulham, Spurs, Sunderland, Stoke and Swansea. Suarez would be eligible for the Champions League qualifiers, first group game and 3rd round COC game in that time.

One would think that between Cazorla, Podolski, Walcott and Giroud, we'd be able to score enough goals during that period.

Us apparently being willing to bid x amount for Bernard is old news, but this quote was actually said just recently on Brazilian TV by a reporter called Alexandre Oliviera, who's said to be quite reliable when it comes to Brazilian players.

Saying that, apparently ESPN Brazil also once reported that Julio Cesar to Arsenal was done, and we know how that one turned out.
