Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
Not to mention SS itsself should be awesome
Like I said everything that's happening right now, literally everything is at the point where it stops just sort of actually picking up, leaving it for SummerSlam.
Kind of like a bunch of cliffhangers all at once.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
Not sure tbh
Love Punk but he's much better as a heel, and it's not even close
I'm a fan of Braaawk, yet you all know my opinion on part-timers. Two feet in or two feet out pls.
But the x-factor is Heyman, so I reckon i'll side with them.

Had a look at a total divas clip and ended up watching both the first 2 episodes. Pretty decent show.
Back to watch the RAW ending.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
There's plenty going on, just at Summerslam
It's always the same in a build up before a major PPV
They set everything up to conclude at the PPV, think about RAWs before WrestleMania. Most of the main events end with nobody picking up a clean win and the main eventers staring each other down or whatever.
The last couple of RAWs before WWE's 2nd best money maker were never going to be anything except a small continuation in the storylines
We have CM Punk (The joint main man in WWE) Vs Braaawk
Cena Vs Bryan, who is a legit threat to the title. Also with the McMahons and HHH getting involved
We possibly have Kane turning from a jobber into a monster for the first time since the early 2000's and feuding with the Wyatts. Might be in the 5th ever Inferno match too.
And a few others to that.
Plenty of stuff going on.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
Define major
You can't have a CM punk leaving WWE type storyline all the time otherwise it just ends up downplaying the future events.

Punk turning heel last year on the Rock, Punk shoot promo in 2011 and storyline, Nexus in 2010 etc.
Right now it's just a generic feud for the WWE title. Nothing that would want to make you tune in the following week.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
That's an opinion though
Like I said, you can't constantly have all these majory storylines. They mostly involve the WWE being in turmoil and panic.
If that's the case all the time and there's ALWAYS an active storyline where the WWE is in trouble whether it be people ganging up and ruining every main event or the main man threatening to walk out. It would become boring. Like anything would if it's repeatedly done.
So they need to keep it fresh and different. Can't have a major 'WWE in trouble' storyline running too often.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
WWE isn't the best nowadays in terms of characters, storylines, being edgy etc, so to compensate having those major storylines would be a good idea.
Even if the current Bryan/Cena storyline was more intense, edgy and controversial, then that could possibly suffice.
But it's pretty much just them hugging each week at the end of the show, with a generic promo at the start.
Nothing that would want to make you tune in the following week, because it's not really a storyline.

I agree there needs to be more edgy characters, but it's not an easy thing to do

Btw did Orton just turn heel last night? it looked like it.

Nah don't think just walking away would turn him heel. He's a heel type face anyway, so him turning heel will have to be something big. Even punting Bryan/Cena would probably still get him cheered as a face.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
of course he is turning heel, you've got 2 baby faces in the title picture so the third guy has to be a heel

Kane was not a jobber for 10 years, he was World Heavyweight Champion at one point. He was a monster majority of the decade.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
Wtf made a big post talking about Kane and it disappeared.
I'll make it short this time, basically Kane himself has said he's happy just putting new talents over and helping others be 'pushed' over himself.
That's what he himself does. His biggest 'push' in the last 8 or so years was when he put the mask on again, and he was burried by Cena.
Before that, his last push came when he was carrying a small satchel around with him. And he ended up feuding with Rey Mysterio. Kane lost about 3 or 4 times in a row to him and that was that.
He's been jobbing a long, long time. Not in the mould of 3 man band or whatever, but he's a big name mid-carder who pushes talent through.
