Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
I said I wondered if HHH would screw one of them. Didn't know which one though.
But WWE fooled me when everybody was doing the show of respect BS and I half gave up.

Knew Triple H was going to do it, you could tell from his face when he came out. Then it was just about at which point he'd do it when Bryan was celebrating.

But still, Bryan actually beat Cena clean.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
The more and more the match went on without a sign of Vince meant HHH was going to have a part. Because otherwise he would have contributed nothing to the main event
Quite unpredictable, most people didn't call it. Very few would have definitely expected it. Great PPV.

Will probably be a corporate stable with HHH and Vince looking out for Orton.
Wouldn't mind Batista back tbh. And flair 'retired' then randomly mentored the mizz for a while. So possibly

Might need an authority figure who's on Bryan's side.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
Decided to watch Summerslam. Three matches though, Kane vs Wyatt, Punk vs Brock and Bryan vs Cena.
Enjoyed it. Wyatt was made to look super weak, he was getting utterly destroyed before Rowan and Harper interfered. Bad booking, he hardly gained any credibility.
Punk/Brock was great, and Evolution reunion Kinda sucks for Bryan to have a one minute reign but we all know he's gonna win it back.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
Regarding the finish to the SummerSlam WWE Title match, many people backstage believed it wads fantastic but some took the "now we can tell a great story and when Bryan gets his revenge it will get him over even more" stance.
Some took the "they should have let Bryan have his moment and it would have made him right there and he wouldn't have had to be made after a chase" position.
Several within WWE also commented that the it made no sense for Bryan to not kick out considering how much time passed between Triple H's Pedigree and Orton's pin.
Few people also pointed out that it's ridiculous that a maneuver from a retired wrestler is so devastating that it outdid anything that John Cena did in the match.

The WWE NXT Tout account posted a video of Paul Heyman teasing that his next recruit may be a "Paul Heyman girl" instead of a male wrestler, leading fans to speculate that Heyman may be recruiting NXT Women's Champion Paige.
Heyman confirms he has found his next star but doesn't say who.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
I agree M99 they didn't do any favours for Bray. I understand completely that the match was set up so the Wyatts would find a way to help Bray, but Kane didn't need to dominate completely.
And even though it annoys me when people complain that Harper & Rowan 'can't wrestle' despite the whole point is for them to not be wrestlers just followers who club away at people, they DO need a couple of power moves.
Harper has a great clothesline and running big boot but Rowan has nothing. It's a bit of a waste finding somebody who's not far off 7 ft tall and in decent shape, but not having him use any power move at all.
All they have to do is let him use his old moveset with a chokeslam and a reverse torture rack type move.
Then again it doesn't help that their only 2 matches have both been against massive, fat people in Brodus and Albert/Tensai.

For the first time in a long time looking forward to RAW. They need controversial storylines like this more often. Although they probably wouldn't be as popular if they happened too often.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 6
Disappointed with Bray vs. Kane, this was the wrong match for him. People have been calling him out on his lack of in-ring skill (or at least not displaying it) and this gimmick match really limited them. They couldn't really use the ropes, it was essentially two big guys in a small square - makes sense storywise but not at a point where Wyatt needed to show some skills. Match did nothing for him.
Christian-Del Rio was surprisingly good, didn't see Ambrose vs. RVD but heard it was good.
lmao at the LA crowd crapping over the Total Divas match this won't go away though, apparently the WWE loves that show because it pulls in ratings.
Lesnar Punk And people were wondering why Brock Lesnar gets a special contract, that's why. Guy's MMA personality really comes through - doesn't care what happens to himself as long as he gets to beat the crap out of his opponent. And he's the best person to pull off something like this. Punk vs. Heyman looks to continue, which makes everyone happy.
BUT DAT FINISH I don't care how impossible it is, the only way this gets better is if Batista (Mason Ryan can do ) and Ric Flair come out tomorrow and RAW starts off with the Evolution theme. Best heel stable in the modern era to come back

Mason Ryan
Lesnar - Punk was great, only complaint was every time Punk went after Heyman (Extremely slowly) you could just tell what was about to happen.

HHH screwed Bryan, allowing Orton to cash in for the WWE title. And they celebrated together ffs
Keep in mine HHH was the 'face' in Bryans corner leading up to it all. Quite the screwjob.
