I truly can't tell if Catracho is just taking the piss or being serious. If he is trolling and it would be a shame if he is, it's a great job. As for Buffon retiring, I don't think that is necessary. Yeah he isn't as agile as he once was but most of the traits that made him a legendary keeper is still there. Juventus fans/admirers of Serie A would say their usual remarks but they are soaked in bias and raw emotion.

Trust me no matter how much I love a player if he was leaking us goals for two years straight I wouldn't be opposed to them calling it a day and retiring

But he's conceded less than 50 goals in the last 2 years in Serie A. He has a great save/game ratio as well as a low goals/per game ratio.

This notion that these 2 or 3 games represent his current ability is stupidity at its finest.

Totally understand the sensitivity. It's their club legend. Not much fans can here can say they are immune to being sensitive. However, Buffon is showing signs of doing that natural decline. Not enough to retire but enough for Italy to the process of passing on the baton.

That's obvious and 2014 will most likely be his last year with the Azzurri depending on form. That's not what catracho is saying he is attacking others while not bringing any credible reasons for the retirement of a GK based on 1 game.
