The captain of the Italian Gianluigi Buffon lost his temper and lashed out in a rather abrupt and dangerous against Mario Balotelli. Between the two are flown first big words, then pushing and slapping.

I would need to see a better source for confirmation on this story. That must have been some very vicious slapping for Balotelli to go to the hospital. Big words, pushing and slapping? It sounds like a girl fight.

Italy captain Gigi Buffon has rubbished reports that he clashed with Mario Balotelli after the Euro 2012 Final.

Reports today claimed that the two men had an angry exchange at the end of Sunday’s 4-0 loss to Spain.

The Juventus custodian, however, has today taken to his Facebook page to condemn the speculation by insisting nothing happened between the duo.

The Manchester City striker angrily walked down the tunnel at the end of the game, but did re-appear to collect his medal.
