But you shouldn't take what Gil and Catracho are saying seriously, but it's blatantly troll baiting.

Most of us recognize how good Buffon is, but he has looked a bit vulnerable during this tournament.

yeah trust me i dont take this Gil seriously at all. Its it gives excuses to people to unjustly hate on a player I undoubtedly respect for more than just his ability, Gigi is a great man and a few bad games for italy doesnt cancel out the 40 odd great games he puts in for Juventus, people forget that. Its not as if he conceced an own goal or an absolute howler.

Obviosly i agree, im not one to think he's the same buffon from 03 or 06, he's been declining slowly since 2010 but very very slowly, has the odd brainfart now and again but like you say im glad the majority think buffon is still a great.

Well he has been slowly declining (due to age), noticed his reactions have become slower, but tbh he hasn't had a great tournament. Either way I would rely on him come 2014 WC, it will probably his last anyways. Still think he's one of the best GK's in the world atm.

But saying things like he should retire because of a few bad games in the Confed. cup is ridiculous, and is blatant trolling. Surprised there hasn't been any warning level reductions.

Juventus posters have their very own "Cyberman" in Gil, just delicious. Real Madrid posters of yesteryear would (un)fondly remember Cyber's wonderfully timed jabs at Real Madrid. The "O'Shea is better than Ramos" was (probably and assumingly) the inspiration behind the Right Back section...

That completely botched save from Xavi's shot......Even Keepers in Egypt dont do something like that ffs.If Valdes did that there'd be a million troll posts on the internet and videos about it.And Juveman you've said that you should take a break from GL like a hundred times before and you've never left;man's word.Stop whining.

yet it was still a save, so criticizing someone who actually achieved something, but the way he achieved it was not good ... typical loser mentality

So, 1 or 2 not so good games in a meaningless competition and he's not good anymore and should retire...

Following the same logic, Barcelona players should retire from sport after the humiliation given by germans in an actually important competition ...
