Yeah Buffon made a huge blunder on that Xavi shot but apart from that was good.

That Xavi shot looked like a block save and he nearly put it in Imo.

Buffon was excellent tonight.

Lets not judge a GK by his ability to save penalties. Its based purely on reflexes. Hence why scrub GKs like Alves save penalties yet are absolute shit outside them.

While he's definitely looked fallible this tournament, far from his former self & definitely a player in decline, his performance last night was hardly worth criticizing. Having a go at him just because he "almost" botched a save (ie, saved it) just seems like nitpicking

By the end of next season ppl will worship Buffon again lol ..

Sometimres I wish that stupidity would hurt - quite a lot of people would consider twice to post certain comments then.

Lol, Valdez took 7 vs Bayern and neither was a penalty

That Navas save was routine, tight angle and from very far away.
And that makes it one save of merit.

Never said i watch every minute of every game like your banging on about. Just sayin bro, i can bet i'v watched more of all these GK's aswell as Buffon to have a decent view of who i think is better and not, unlike 90% of this thread and many other threads, base it on the latest 3-5 games and start throwing round nonsense like buffon should retire ect.

The people that your 'attacking' could just make the claim you just made and and say that they don't think Buffon is better than those players you just named.

You don't know if they've just watched 3-5 games.

But am i coming out with troll repsonses and idiotic comments regarding the players i might watch alot or even players i dont watch that much but have a decent amount of knowledge on? no. So it makes it easy to judge whether they've watched a small amount of games or not when coming out with comments like buffon sucks or he should retire ect.
