Congrats to Brazil on a wonderfully placed Dante who could not miss from that offside position. And beautiful technique and body movement from Neymar as he graceful dived into the water at the Maracana. Wonderful stuff.

Marcelo had a horrible 2nd half but he looked good the first half atleast

I'm assuming it's becouse of lack of match fitness, so his stamina isn't on par, coupled with that the whole Brazil team sucked the 2nd half aswell. Still got da assist

The 2nd half was completly one sided, was really hard to watch. Not really enjoyable seeing one team dominate so much

Meh I wasn't optimistic about Italias chances with the likes of Aquilani and Candreva.

No Pirlo, no DDR, Montolivo injured, Abata injured.

3-5-2 pls Laughing

Defence looks so un-italian.

I don't understand why Prandelli wants to tamper with something that's been working for 2 fkn years Laughing

Your right he just smashed the ball in the top corner instead.

First few points.

1. Italy were desperately missing Pirlo and De Rossi in the middle.  Aqualani should not be starting ever.

2. Never say Italy are divers.  They are probably one of the cleanest teams out there now.  Brazil was diving and pulling shirts every chance they got.

3.  Balotelli should have been awarded a penalty when it was 2-1 and he was pulled back by Dante.  Both hands on shoulders, clear foul.

4.  They got unlucky, If Maggio scores that header they go on to win that game.

5.  Score looks worse than it was.  I hope Italy go on to beat Spain.

That is all.

Neymar basically guns Abate down and complains and then does a bunny hop after getting touched and calls for a freekick

Stop acting like he did it on purpose.... it was a mistimed challenge and Abate feel awkwardly that is what injured Abate the impact of hitting the turf.

Buffon was very very bad today, but I blame the loss solely on Prandelli. This switching formations crape has got to go. We need to stick to the Juve formula. Just play a damnable 3-5-2 already and we would play much better. All the Juve players know this formation. Besides the Juve players Maggio and arguably Balotelli would also play better in this formation. We would be able to play El Shaarawy and Balotelli together perfectly, we would be able to play Bonucci, Chiellini, and Barzagli all together and not rely on Abate, a converted winger, or Maggio, a wingback who is not used to a 4-man backline, to cover Neynar practically alone. We've seen how well it works with Juventus and Italy in the Euro Group Stages. No reason not to play it. If Prandelli continues to be ignorant, he has to go.

I agree with those points but Prandelli keeps sticking with this back 4.

When have Italy let in so many fkn goals so easily? The defensive talent is all there for them, but like I've said 1 million times, 3 of the top 4 clubs in Italy use a back 3 system, and here we are using every variation of a back 4 under the sun.

What happens when a fully fit Italy play 3-5-2 you ask? A convincing draw with Spain in the WC, a great half against Croatia as well.

No manager could have done much tonight, when you're forced to make 2 subs due to Injuries, and have 3 injuries before the game then you come up against a full Brasil team.

Aquilani must be axed from Italy ASAP, he wouldn't get into my fkn monday night team the useless dick.

I'd gladly play Giaccherini there in an injury crisis instead.

Then why did he bitch about getting a yellow and then goes on to *bleep* dive with a touch on the shoulder. Not to mention Dante's offside goal, a freekick scored from a dive, and Maggio hitting the bar.

Also, how many times is Neymar allowed to foul people every game

If that was a CM or a CB he'd probably have been off.

What was up with Pirlo and De Rossi? Injured or suspended? If the former: for how long?

It wasn't offside and it wasn't a dive.... all 4 goals were legit but ok lol.

Laughing Even the analysts on Fox said it was offside after looking at it. It was off m8 and you know it. Neymar dived as well dont tell me he wasn't trying to go down man

Brazil still scored 4 goals against Italy. Remove that and they would have won 3-2 anyway, so not like it mattered.
