Brazil still scored 4 goals against Italy. Remove that and they would have won 3-2 anyway, so not like it mattered.

Prandelli shouldn't have played the 4-2-3-1 in the first place, he should've played the 3-5-2 so there is something he could've done.

Even with the injuries we had:

--Buffon--
--Barzagli-- --Bonucci-- --Chiellini--
--Maggio-- --Giaccherini-- --Aquilani-- --Marchisio-- --De Scigilio--
--Balotelli-- --El Shaarawy--

That's a hell of a lot better than what we played today.

Nobody in the NT even plays in a 4-2-3-1 rofl

Prandelli trying his hardest not to copy Conte.

i disagree with that analysis. its supposed to be at the time of the original kick, not the deflection.

no deez. it's both in fact. on the original kick, you need to be onsides. but also on the header, you need to be onsides again to be able to follow up. I think Gustavo was offsides on the freekick, but that one was tough to call since he was at the near post. Dante was definitely offsides at the time of the header though... so he can't get the rebound legally.

You're trying to hard.

Dante's goal was offside. But what about chiellini's goal?the ref blew the whistle before it was scored and everyone stopped

anyway, you cant blame the ref on how bad Chiellini got raped by the so called scrub Fred

According to Al Jazeera (I dont trust them a lot) Dante's goal, and Fred's goal are both offside. Also, Balotelli deserved 2 penalties, one of them from which the ref withdrew his decision in turn allowing chiellini to score.

Chiellini goal was either a goal or pk and yellow for Gustavo... and that would have been his second yellow (= red card and miss semis).

Given the odds that a pk becomes a goal, Brazil got a good deal there.

Dante was the rebound offsides...  Gustavo was offsides on the freekick itself.  There are two parts to that play that need to be watched by the linesman. He could have said that Gustavo didn't make an impact on the original header and let it go... but Dante was clearly offsides on the rebound. It's not even a question.

no. i was talking about the so called penalty. you said gustavo would have gotten a second yellow, but dante was the one who made the tackle.

You mean on Fred's first goal? Chiellini got raped but that was actually Bonucci's man, he was just so horrendously out of position that Chiellini had to come across

And no one stopped during Chiellini's goal, this is a myth

If Pirlo is fit for the match against Spain we should go back the three back system I fully agree. Play something like this, I'm assuming Abate is done for the rest of the tournament

-------------------------Buffon
---------Barzagli--------Bonucci-------Chiellini

Maggio-------------------Pirlo---------------------De Sciglio
--------------De Rossi----------Marchisio/Montolivo

------------------Balotelli----SES/Diamanti/Giaccherini/Givinco/Take your pick right now

Same Drogba that failed an Afcon cup with the best team in Africa . While Cavani won the Copa with Uruguay . I also think his contribution to Suarez and Forlans performances is being underestimated . Anyone who watched him at the 2010 world cup knows he can very well for his national team . He's just going through a bad period

I'm not a big fan of using team results to judge individual players, since so many factors come into play. I didn't watch that Afcon, so I can't comment on Drogba's performances, but Cavani winning the Copa with Uruguay means squat. Unless you're forgetting, he shared that team with the competition's best player (Suarez) and best young player (Coates in defense), not to mention a pretty stacked team otherwise (Forlan and Pereira both had 2 goals as well). Cavani scored a grand total of NOTHING and didn't even start in the final. So probably not the best tournament to single out for his national team performances.
