Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
FC Basel confirm that Arsenal are "interested" in centre-back Aleksandar Dragović but "no deal has been reached" - http://bit.ly/11wmCG0
Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Anyone seen more than a little of Dragovic? I've only seen him in a couple of EL games where he seemed fine, didn't stick out to me. But it looks like there's more than a little substance to talk of him making the step up to a bigger stage somewhere. His last name is great, so that's something superficial in his favor.
That all said, Agent Dragovic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=krcu8vaG8q0

Lars has suffered thigh injury and was subbed off at half time
"This has hampered him massively. Fact that we had to replace him, not a good sign," said Bayer coach Sascha Lewandowski, "may only MRI images provide information about the severity of the injury."

The Mirror says Arsenal are keeping an eye on Villa's Matt Lowton as a Sagna replacement.

And the Sunday Express Sport runs hugely unlikely story that Julian Draxler (£15m) is top of Wenger's transfer target list.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Funny, I read another story today that Dragovic was on top of his list. And I could have sworn a couple of papers thought Goetze was target number one. Could've just been my imagination, though.

They're going to show up in front of his house playing Take That. "Want you back, want you back, want you back for good ..."

Corriere della Sera journalist Mario Sconcerti: "Jovetić has a £25m buy-out clause. There's already a buyer. Who? If you go to England, you're not wrong. I think the buyer is Man City."

Wouldn't trust him completely. And I think Cavani to City is more likely, English journos adamant he is their no.1 target.

No chance. Sevilla can't afford to pay his wages and they're well stocked in attacking midfield with Navas, Perotti, Reyes, Rakitic, Stevanovic, Rabello and the returning Luis Alberto.

Swap deal, mayhaps? Anyway, I doubt AS is the most reliable of sources.
I would hate to see Arshavin retire.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Arshavin's unattached this summer so in that sense he'd be a viable choice for Sevilla. But right now they're looking to sell players to aid their financial problems and a 30-something on £90k p/w isn't going to help.
He'll return to Russia, go to a Asian/Chinese club for one final pay check of just retire, I reckon.

I was going to post the same news!
Unbelievable. I guess there's still a small chance it's not all done and dusted yet?
Bayern are showing (again) how you stack the deck and dominate proceedings after a few also-ran seasons. From a gobsmacked neutral perspective, I'm just admiring how they've truly "galactico'ed" the hell out of their setup over the past 12 months.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Hearing this gave me great feelings of sadness. Any club that tries to mess with the status quo and doesn't have infinite pockets ends up having their future stripped away like thisSamuelj29060 wrote:BILD: Bayern Munich have signed Mario Götze from Dortmund for £31.6m. I hope that's not true, BILD is hardly the most reliable source, is it?
