lol, we were linked with half of the world and the transfer has not started and all the players that were linked with us have found other clubs.

As long as Wenger is in charge we will not purchase players rather than just scouting them for other clubs. It's funny reading Bayern Beat Arsenal to Goetze in a £31m fee' purely because we'd never have paid £31m for him! Surely the media see this?

2 points here:

1. The last time we showed genuine interest in Götze was Summer 2011. A rumoured bid of 35m € was turned down by BVB on transfer deadline day. All local media in Nordrhein Westfalen concurred on BVB holding on to Götze despite Arsenal bid. Supporters I know thought Arsenal was crazy to put in such a bid, and I have had a hard time digesting it myself. (In 2012, we bought Cazorla).

2. Wrt Isco - as in case of Götze, I don't see a need for that position unless we are selling someone. With Jack, Ox, Cazorla, Rosicky and Ramsey, we are amply covered in the areas he operates in. However, given the financial situation at Malaga, we could probably rake in Isco a la Cazorla and Monreal - 20million pounds would do it. But it is rather unlikely.

That money would be better spent on a striker. A really, really top top top top top striker. (read: Jo-Jo)

Bad day for Arsenal that 70m we had was for Cavani and Gotze now Wenger will save that for next summer.

We were never going to sign Cavani, sports... unfortunately.

My only hope is Jovetic or Villa (or Bony )

I am little bit surprised Götze has chosen to join Bayern Munich. It is unusual for a big club to sell its best player to a close rival.

Don't know how factual this is, but apparently we'll be holding primary talks with Lyon over Maxime Gonalons this week. Supposedly he's been identified as our replacement for Diaby.

Also we're looking for a centre back and a striker.

If Jovetic goes anywhere this summer, it'll probably be to City.

Lewandowski will probably go to United, but if the rumours of Falcao to United are true, then I can actually see Lewa ending up at Atletico.
