on his own level, only ineista is better than him right now.

his effectiveness in the final third is second to none. absolutely sensational. he has something like 50 sth assists in 2 seasons and the season isn't done yet! def top 3 level.

Funny thing is he wanted the transfer so he would get a better shot being part of Spain World cup squad. He is not getting selected for the world cup. Long term if he stayed at Chelsea, he would be a much better and well rounded player.

Joe Cole was pretty much in the same situation in his early days at Chelsea. But he worked hard, and he enjoyed his best stint in his career. Mata is much more talented then Joe Cole, he would have benefited so much more.

I am not saying he would have turned things around quickly maybe it would have taken until next season, but he quit way too early.

Hype is a bit ridiculous considering who he and they faced.

We are beyond shit since we sold Cabaye and just look at our results since then will prove that lol.

In fact you take away Cabaye and Remy's goals and we would have 22 points Laughing

We are an awful, relegation standard team.

What Mata and the rest of Man Utd team did mean absolutely nothing.

I have to pretty much agree with you there, Mole.

Although I don't want to believe it, and instead choose to have an image in my head of Mata playing that good against a team of Bayern's quality. The truth is, Newcastle were really poor. Made it so easy against us and basically gave up after we scored the first goal- a wonderful FK by Mata.

The confidence in him is growing and he is looking more settled, plus he looks as though he really enjoys playing alongside Kagawa Thumbs up
