This game just ended this version of PSG imo... and it may not be a bad thing.  Real Madrid didn't do jack shit in the galactico era and neither did the galactico version of PSG.

You can't just buy names and not think about profiles.  That's not how football works.  You need names... but you need a team mentality and the right complementary players.

The first galactico era in Real Madrid really started when Makelele was sold to bring in Beckham.... and ended in 2006. Roughly 4 years.

The second galactico era frankly was failing too. Then Mourinho came on in 2010 and handled all recruiting. It was by no means a galactico policy under Mou. In fact, he fixed our recruiting practices and club culture.

CL is a weird comp though, it seems mentality n believe from experience of winning in the past does help a team. In contrast we've seen some teams suffer mental blocks possibly from repeated past failures as well.

At the end its a cup comp though so any big team full of stars could make a run every now n then, or lesser team also. But more important the Galaticos v1 or v2 came like 3rd in many of the seasons they won the CL too, so not exactly convincing
