-We will likely (hopefully) finish in the top 3

All this while selling our importnatn players for 75 mil in the summer, i think Galliani deserves a bit of respect Proud

another way to think about it..

think of how well you would/could have done with silva in this team.

That Xavi quote is obvious tongue in cheek. It would be extremely hilarious if he said it though. Like the Yahoo Zlatan quotes if anyone remembers them.

"History is Us" is what is says.

If this doesn't get you emotional as a Milanista then you have a heart of stone.

Actually he sacrificed himself in this game, also he just came back from a knee injury. SES played very well defensively and was able to shut down Alves.

All I want to say is its great to share this victory with my Milanisti. Forza, Lascia, Spence, Jesp, Dante, Ninja, M31, MTD, Pusha and my man ES.

Seeing Massimiliano Allegri reward all the faith that I and his supporters have put into him is nothing short of joy.

We may not go through, but god damn I will remember this victory.

Arquiii! What a victory that was ! I just finished calling friends and foes , couldn't believe my eyes at some point..what a game

Allegri was boss . Finaly, he'll get some long awaited recognition after this.. Great night for Milan , Barcelona were outdone by the team's efforts. It wasn't their night . Monty , Ambrosini Heart

What was wrong with SES? i thought he was great personally.

Plus the pass he made to Muntari for the 2nd goal

If Messi did that there would be 10 threads about it.

Harhar I'm not refereeing expert as I am just regurgitating what I heard from Telecinco, Sky Italia and apparently Al Jazeera who bless this very tricky call as a legitimate one. I'll review this further with you soon after my shock is gone.

I agree that Milan fans must be humble as the gloating and rather classless attitude shown to Barcelona today by some of our fans is rather disrespectful and should cease. I'm with you there.

Thanks man! That was the only thing I was angry about. I don't belive that Milan payed the referee or that there exista a conspiracy against Barca. My only problem was the inconsistency of some "neutral" fans. About the referee I agree with what Pique said after this game "even the referee makes mistake, we should not use it as an excuse"..

We were awful thanks to Milans tactical plan, I belive me I hate complimenting so you know I aint lying Laughing , it doesn't change the fact that its an effective way to play and was the smartest thing Milan could do..

If Pique's gut feeling that, then I believe him though it is admirable he is following the Guardiola principle on not to talk about refs. The plan was what it was as us Milanisti expected to play like this. it wasn't beautiful, but it worked. Nou Camp will be different.

Neutrals and Barca haters? This is GL after all so we are bound to get such radical reactions as its best to avoid this period of time until things cool down. I'll be discussing the refereeing decisions within the Barca sections with you guys. Thanks though.

Mate I belive that Milan will use that tactic at camp nou as well. I mean, if they did it in san siro what will they do away from home? Like I said, I hate that style and I would be disappointed with my team if they used it, but I understand why Milan feel the need to use it and I will have to accept it no matter how much I hate it because its in their right to use whatever tactic they want..

Dante you have no idea how glad I am to see you and celebrate this along your side. My friend I am still in a state of denial and shock along with slowly letting the gravity of this win sink in. It'll take a night of celebration but it will Very Happy

At the emotional state I am at the moment I'd find it hard to thoroughly analyse the game (to which I'm sure both of us will comprehensively do in ES' thread) but now is time to reflect and enjoy what is a near historical win for us.

My hero's of tonight? SES (beautiful performance), KPB (can't believe it) Abate (needs more recognition), and Riccardo god damn Montolivo.

My MOTM? Max Allegri. I know you alongside I as two of Allegri's biggest supporters here and its fantastic to see him throw it back on everyones face. He truly is our manager.

The only way Barcelona might go through is a big change in tactics and a very early goal. Otherwise I can see 90 minutes of frustration at Camp Nou, pretty much like Chelsea last season.

Oh believe me, Milanisti and the club as a whole do not like to use such a tactic. But with the lack of balance in our squad along with the questionable quality, it had to be done vs what is the best club side of all time.

Mark my words though, Nou Camp will be different. We are fantastic away but the intimidation and Barca's potential reprisal after thoroughly preparing in the 2nd leg, I can see us choking and Barca making their comeback. I won't mind as a 2-0 vs them is all I need. Humiliation was simply was most Milan fans wanted to avoid.

I dont think that anyone is saying that you should have used a different tactic. I mean, I think that I am the only one that is talking negative about your style, but not even I have said that you should have used a different one.

I like this style very much though and I would wish Milan can do it every game. To leave the opponents no room to manage one clear cut chance and have more than five chances yourself.

A perfect tactical match. The only thing is that it is impossible to play with such intensity every match.

I don't understand what Milan should have done mate. Try and play like Barca or Madrid or United. We played to the abilities of our players, and we played well. We managed to completely close down the best team in the world, and we managed to be dangerous to them as well.

I can't see how anyone can look at this match and not see one team playing their tactics brilliantly, and the other team failing to cope with those tactics. Worms and other Barca fans said it, the Barca players said it themselves. You lose because you don't play well, you don't lose because you opponent plays "anti-football".
