Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
Newcastle may have missed out on Loic Remy, but France Football are reporting that the Magpies are very keen to sign St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while L'Equipe claim that the St James' Park side have held initial talks with Bastia over full-back Florian Thauvin.
-----------------
QPR are also keen to bring in Yann M'Vila in January, but reports in L’Equipe have claimed that Rennes officials held talk with Rubin Kazan on Thursday. Fulham and Reading are also understood to be pursuing the highly-rated midfielder.
----------------------
And in another line coming out of France, L’Equipe are reporting that Nancy left-back Massadio Haidara is still to reach an agreement with Newcastle over his possible move to St James' Park, with the Magpies understood to have tabled an offer in excess of £2million for the 20-year-old.
-------------------------
Tottenham and Everton are said to have joined Inter Milan in the race to sign Montpellier playmaker Younes Belhanda, L’Equipe reports. The 22-year-old Morocco international had looked set to join Fenerbahce only for the deal to fall through.
------------------------------
Spanish daily Marca reports that Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente has agreed to join Juventus in the summer transfer window.
The Bianconeri have been negotiating a Bosman deal with the player’s representatives since the start of the January transfer window, and Marca suggests that the two parties have finally reached an agreement.
The Spain international has agreed to sign a four-year deal with the Bianconeri worth around €4.5 million per campaign.
Llorente will not be joining Juventus in the winter, but will arrive in Turin on a free transfer when his contract at San Mames expires in June.
This is a major breakthrough for the Serie A champions, who have been looking to sign a world-class striker for over a year now.
Llorente had made it clear he would not be signing a new deal at San Mames, but Athletico, nonetheless, opted against cashing in on the striker in the January transfer window.
During his time at San Mames, the 27-year-old has scored a total of 81 goals in 249 La Liga appearances.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
I'll be gobsmacked if we get Aubameyang, we may want him but wanting someone and getting someone are two entirely different things.
As for Thauvin he's a winger not a fullback
As for Haidara we do need another LB, as long he is followed by a CB and a forward its all good.

A LB to add depth, we haven't had 2 LB's in over a decade.

Llorente, to reach an agreement with Juventus today
The Athletic Bilbao striker appears to be closer than ever to finalising his move Juventus. Apparently, one of his agents is already in Italy to reach an agreement with the club.
btw its going to be a 4 year contract worth €4.5m net per season with an option to extend for another additional year.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
A representative of Fernando Llorente is reportedly in Turin finalising personal terms ahead of a summer move to Juventus.
The Spanish international will join the Bianconeri on a free transfer once his contract with Athletic Bilbao expires in June.
The centre-forward will put pen to paper on a deal until 2017, with an option for an additional season in Turin.
Llorente will net a basic salary of €4.5m a season, but that will rise depending on the activation of certain bonus clauses.
An official Llorente announcement could be made by the Bianconeri at some stage over the next 10 days.

Sevilla sources have told Sky Sports that Manchester City forward John Guidetti is one of a number of strikers that they are interested in signing.
Sevilla are keen on a loan deal until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal, but City have no plans to sell the Swedish striker.
------------------------------
According to German rumours, the first signing of Josep Guardiola's Bayern Munich could be Malaga 20 year old midfielder Francisco Roman Alarcon "Isco".

We do..... its just France is cheap and we can offer significant wage increases to Ligue 1 players.
Considering its January and considering we are 2 points above the relegation zone its very difficult to attract players without paying ridiculously over the odds.
So France is really the only place we can attract players and spend within our means during this window.

Players in France are more likely to perform straight away though as its the league which is most like the PL on a technical and physical level.
Also i should have made it more clear, we have scouts all over europe but not much in South America.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard wants to play in Serie A in light of interest from Fiorentina and Lazio according to Franco Granello, his representative in Italy.
Lampard is likely to leave Chelsea after 12 years of service at the end of this season, meaning a supposed transfer to Lazio in January will probably not happen.
“He was close to coming to Italy several years ago, but not today,” Granello said to Sky Sport.
“In previous years he was close to joining Juventus and Inter when Mourinho was still around.
“Right now there is nothing, neither with Lazio nor with Fiorentina.
“Teams that can afford him do not need him at the moment.”
Although not the ever present fixture he once was in Chelsea’s starting XI, Lampard has managed to score seven goals in just 14 league appearances this season.
The England international is in the final year of his contract with the west London club.

Yeah... well OM are looking at Aubameyang too now. Sissoko seems to be headed to EPL. So they are looking for 2 forwards and moving Andre Ayew to the midfield perhaps. Baup think Andre is better suited there.

Yeah... OL is not the place to go if you're looking for a deal. They have their finances fairly straight now and a new stadium is in the offing. They'll sell if the valuation is fair to them.
