Briand to Monaco, Lisandro to Juve
By the end of Thursday, Jimmy Briand and Lisandro Lopez could leave Olympique Lyonnais and join Monaco and Juventus respectively.

Which is why a lot of Newcastle fans are not lavishing the board with praise, all this should have happened in the summer and if it did we wouldn't be in this position now.
What they are doing is rectifying the problems from the summer so better late than never i just hope we go on again in the summer instead of standing still.

Goal.com (I know) reckon Wilfired Zaha is on his way to Manchester United for £17mil. He'll be immediately loaned backed to Crystal Palace.
No wonder why we were never interested. £17mil is ridiculous.

If they're paying 2.5m then its definitely for January coz he's going to be a free signing in the summer so probably what report Mole's posted is true.

Yeah we already agreed a pre-contract agreement so it left Toulouse with little choice.
2.5m is to take him now and its been accepted, apparently will be all done tomorrow.

Just seen Zaha is going to Man Utd for 15m....
And the media complain about us in going the foreign route
Its just not sustainable to pay fees like that for a club like ours.
I mean we are getting Debuchy, Mbiwa and Sissoko for less than that

Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
None of them will arrive. It's not possible. In times like these, we are playing at Monopoly.
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi on Kaka and Mario Balotelli
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi feels the club have been priced out of moves for Mario Balotelli and Kaka.
The Rossoneri have admired Manchester City striker Balotelli for a long time, with vice-president Adriano Galliani issuing regular statements suggesting the Barclays Premier League club should lower their asking price from a reported 33million euros (£28million).
Milan have held talks with Real Madrid over a possible return for Kaka, who left the San Siro for Spain for 68.5million euros in 2009, but discussions broke down this week when financial terms could not be agreed on a long-term loan deal.
But Berlusconi appeared to rule Milan out of any further negotiation over the pair during an interview with Radio 2 on Thursday morning.
Quoted in the Corriere dello Sport, he said: "Kaka and Balotelli? Neither of the two. It's not possible in this day and age to play Monopoly. Galliani remains optimistic but the tough language of accounting keeps him from doing his work."
Milan have money to spend following the sale of Alexandre Pato to Corinthians for 15million euros (£12.7million) but Real Madrid are holding out for an expensive permanent deal for Kaka, while Manchester City are unwilling to part with Balotelli even if his asking price is met.
City manager Roberto Mancini recently denied speculation he was ready to let the Italy international leave, saying: "No, it is not true. I am very, very happy (with Mario)."
---------------------
Mohamed Diame has sought to bring an end to speculation surrounding his future by committing himself to West Ham United.
The combative midfielder only moved to Upton Park last summer, with the Hammers snapping him up as a free agent when his contract with Wigan came to an end.
That deal looks like being one of the bargains of the season, with Diame having starred for Sam Allardyce's side after settling quickly in the capital.
Once the transfer window swung open, it was suggested that he could be targeted by Arsenal, with there said to be a clause in his contract which could be triggered at any time.
Diame has, however, attempted to shrug off the constant rumours by insisting that he has never expressed a desire to move on.
He told West Ham's official website: "I know there are people out there saying things about me but I have spoken with the manager and told him that I want to stay here.
"I know the club want to keep me too so I will continue to give my best for them.
"I knew when I signed that West Ham were going to make their mark on the Premier League. Since I came here I am enjoying every game I play on the pitch.
"I think I made a good choice because I'm very happy at this club."
----------------------
Reports in the Italian press say Mario Balotelli's agent, Mino Raiola, was in Manchester on Wednesday night to meet with Manchester City officials. It appears AC Milan asked to sign the striker on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent deal. But City refused.
-----------------------
QPR are pushing to sign defender Rolando from FC Porto.
According to Portuguese daily A Bola, QPR boss Harry Redknapp, along with the London side’s chief financial officer, was in Portugal yesterday, with doing a deal for the 27-year-old very much on the agenda.
Porto are thought to be open to selling Rolando, for the right price, while QPR desperately need to add another central defender to their squad, with the imminent departure of Ryan Nelsen to take over as Toronto FC coach.
Rolando is under contract at the Estadio do Dragao until 2015, but is thought to be ready for a new challenge.
It remains to be seen if QPR fit the bill for the Cape Verde-born stopper, but the English Premier League side are pushing hard to secure his signature.
QPR recently lost out to Rubin Kazan in the chase for French midfielder Yann M’Vila, but securing Rolando would hand the side’s market dealing a boost.
Rolando has been capped for Portugal 18 times.
He has picked up three Portuguese league titles with Porto, as well as winning the Europa League in 2011.

Kebe trolling Newcastle fans? I'm sure they're relieved.
Said on SKY Sports News that on Twitter he says he's heading to Newcastle to sign a 4 year deal.
But Reading have said that he's messing around

Tottenham may already have a pre-contract agreement in place with Lewis Holtby, but they are eager to push through a deal during the winter window. They have, however, seen a second bid knocked back by Schalke.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
Sky Sports understands the hold up in Wilfried Zaha’s potential move to Manchester United is because Crystal Palace did not want to sell in the current transfer window. The Championship club instead wanted a guaranteed purchase agreement for the summer. But Football League rules do not allow for this to happen.

Fiorentina weighing up Quag bid
Fabio Quagliarella could be targeted by Fiorentina this summer, having become surplus to requirements at Juventus.
Tutto Mercato Web believe that the 29-year-old will leave the Bianconeri at the end of the season after the club announced the arrival of Fernando Llorente this afternoon.
The Spain international will sign on a free transfer from Athletic Bilbao, with Olympique Lyonnais forward Lisandro Lopez also being heavily linked with a move to Antonio Conte's side.
The arrival of both players will see Quagliarella on the fringes of the first team, something the Italy international will look to change by asking to leave the club.
The website claim that the Viola are favourites to sign the former Napoli man, with a bid of around €10m likely to be enough for his signature.

We have been linked with a Peruvian defender called Jesus.
There is also talk of Bent coming back.
So technically we could potentially have Jesus and Judas in the same team.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
Why would he want to leave Newcastle? All this is a ton of speculation that have only served to make him out to look like an ass when the fact is that neither he nor his agent have claimed they want to leave, there's not a single quote to support this view. But papers gotta sell.Art Morte wrote:Alfred, the article doesn't claim that Coloccini is going to play in Argentina, just that he's planning to go there anyway.
And I think Coloccini can leave without sanctions if he "retires". He cannot sign for another club as long as he's in contract with Newcastle, but I believe he can stop playing and stop getting paid, effectively retire from the game.

Manchester United have all but signed Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay.
Sir Alex Ferguson has been scouting the Argentine central defender for some time and Manchester United are on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign Garay who has been earmarked as a replacement for Rio Ferdinand.
Benfica are holding out for 30 million euros with Manchester United’s initial offer coming in at 15 million. The negotiations between the clubs are however, according to Marca, the only current stumbling block on this deal.
Negotiations between Benfica and Manchester United are ongoing and reports in Portugal, from the likes of O Jogo, confirm that a deal is very likely.
The 26-year-old defender has impressed at Benfica over the past couple of seasons after spells at Racing Santander and Real Madrid after leaving Newell’s Old Boys.
