BarrileteCosmico wrote:Why does everyone think that Pep must have a false 9 in the team? Eto'o was not a false 9. Ibra was not a false 9. The false 9 only came about when Messi wanted to move to the middle and he is clearly not suited to be just a striker, he's much more than that. If Messi were not at Barca chances are that Pep would have continued using a traditional striker.
I'm going to make a post dispelling a lot of myths later on, so much wrong in that Guardiola thread lol.
Not just the Fake 9 bit, but Bayern are too direct forgetting the fact in Pep's first season Barca had Yaya Toure-Xavi-Iniesta Henry-Eto'o-Messi as his front 6 lol.

Ribery's a winger. He could probably work as an AM, but not a CM.

I think he could do it personally, he has the touch, work rate, passing, dribbling to make it work.

ribery will be iniesta played on the left wing, not the center

Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
Matias Silvestre's agent has revealed that the Inter defender has turned down moves to two Serie A clubs.
The Argentine defender is midway through a year-long loan at the Nerazzurri from Palermo, but his representative has admitted that he harbours ambitions to play for Napoli.
“He has refused moves to Genoa and Atalanta,” Eugenio Ascari told Radio Crc. “He has rejected those moves because he wants to try and get in the national team.
“Silvestre's ambition though, is to play for Napoli.”

Etoo was supposed to go the year before that point anyway.
Yaya didnt leave that season, and when he did the only reason was because of Busquets/Keita...Pep desperately wanted to keep him.
Henry declined, his final season has horrible. Of course he was sold.

Palermo are reportedly looking to buy former Liverpool striker Milan Baros from Galatasaray.
The Czech international has been with the Turkish side since 2008, but could be on the move in January.
According to reports in the Italian media, the Rosanero have began discussions with Gala to bring Baros to the Stadio Barbera.
Baros has not made an appearance for Galatasaray this season.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
Yaya was a DM playing exactly like Busquets at Barca. He only became a B2B with offensive responsibilities at City. Busquets is a better fit for the role Barca want anyhow. Good move by yaya.
Pedro replaced Henry. He was being pushed by Pep from the beginning, regardless of Henry's form. Good call by Pep initially... not so much recently, which is not Pep's fault. Henry was definitely meh his last 6 months and had to leave.
Eto'o was replaced by Ibra and then Villa. We all know how well Ibra adapted and Villa isn't exactly a success story either.
What i'm getting at is Pep made players fit into his vision of the game, whether existing players or new ones. There was nothing very adaptive about it. I think it's going to be much the same at Bayern.... sink or swim.

Other than Moussa Sissoko, OM are looking for a winger. Alessandrini of Rennes and Bakar of Nancy are the names most mentioned. Might even go after N'Gog of Bolton.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
Gazzetta dello Sport have revealed in the past hour that AC Milan have begun their assault on signing Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli in the January transfer window.
Speculation is rife in both Spain and Italy that the Rossoneri are preparing to bring in Kaka on loan for the rest of the season following his dinner with Robinho in Milan last night.
And, AC Milan, who have had a poor start to the first half of the season by their standards, after selling Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer, are understood to have begun negotiations with Mario Balotelli’s agent.
Mino Raiola, who represents the Manchester City hitman, met with AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani today, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
This comes just days after AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi apologised for calling Balotelli “a rotten apple” – a move which was interpreted in Italy as paving the way for the Rossoneri to move for Super Mario.
Balotelli has endured a poor campaign at the Etihad following his heroics for Italy at Euro 2012. Manchester City fans would likely be split on losing a cult hero but Roberto Mancini could well have lost patience with the striker.
Just two weeks ago, Mancini and Balotelli were involved in a training ground brawl and the return of John Guidetti to full fitness could see City loan their controversial striker or even sell him, if AC Milan stump up the cash.
It seems undoubtedly clear, as we head into the second half of the January 2013 transfer window, that Mario Balotelli may be one of the big-name players constantly linked with a move from the Etihad.

Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
You guys do realize that Milan and Real Madrid are officially on talks for Kaka right? That Kaka is also willing to take a pay cut for the move?
Negotiations are on going as of now.
And I really hope Llorente moves to Bayern instead of Juve as he is the perfect false 9 that Pep would be looking for as the interest doesn't surprise me. Would do very well there.
Make it happen Javi.

The FIFA agents, Gaetano and Dario Paolillo who represent Kaka were just meeting Raiola and Galliani via Turati.
- Milanews which is an official based Milan source only.Silvio Berlusconi himself is talking with Florentino Perez about bringing back Kakà, according to Milan Channel.

-Milanchannel"I'm ready to do anything in order to return to Milan.
A future for me at Milan? I'm still very thankful to Milan, but I have a contract with Real Madrid. However, it's not a pleasant situation for me or for Real Madrid.
I've already told Milan and Real Madrid that I'm ready to find a solution. If Real Madrid reach an agreement with Milan then it will be a good thing for both me and for them."
What possible incentive would I have for fabricating news?

Re: January Transfer Rumours 3
LLorente to Bayern doesn't make any sense with Gomez there, though they could be rotaded if Pizarro retires and Mandzukic accepts a bench-heavy role.
Seems like a waste of money, though.

Real Betis are eyeing Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin.
Estadio Deportivo says Betis are lining up a bid for the young Frenchman this month.
Betis will make an offer to Arsenal if they lose Jose Canas to Swansea City.

AS Roma are eyeing Everton defender Johnny Heitinga.
Rome sources say the Giallorossi are considering a move for the Dutchman this month.
Heitinga has struggled for regular first team football this season.
Roma hope to do business for £2.5 million.

Don't worry as the card is with Juve since Llorente is a Juventino.
Although if it was anyone else except Marotta handling the transfer I would be confident that is would happen since Marotta is highly incompetent
.

Jupp Heynkes developed Llorente into that role while Javier Clemente and now since Bielsa has come both have played Llorente into the same role. False 9 is his natural role in to which he performs to his optimum abilities also utilizing his creativity. Capaross was guilty of playing him as a target man as despite Llorente succeeding there it limited him.

Yes it does given that Pep has a penchant for seeking a forward with complete abilities who can create along with playing a False 9 role. Gomez for all his goals isn't that as Pep isn't one to deploy Fox-in the box target-men. It also makes sense given that Pep wanted Llorente at Barcelona and now will have the chance to strike on the deal again.

Right and just how you make Benz to be the hybrid of Zidane, RvN and Baggio
Complete and in many capabilities as otherwise his weaknesses is his wasteful finishing and poor off ball movement.
