http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/wenger-podolski-can-spearhead-attack

“Podolski was injured when we played at Bayern and won,” the boss said. “After that, we won at Swansea…sometimes you have periods like that and I think he can play as a central striker as well.
“I work a lot with him as a central striker at the moment. He is a quality player and when he comes on you can see that straight away. You don’t get 100 caps by luck.
“Honestly he has a great attitude. He never moans, he never has a bad phase, he is always positive.
“I had Walcott was on the bench [too]. It’s hard to leave everybody out. Nacho Monreal didn’t play and he played extremely well until now.”
Olivier Giroud was also on target against Norwich, with Wenger full of praise for the striker’s second-half display.
“I think he had a very, very average first half and a very, very positive and influential second half. He was much more in the game in the second half," he said.
“He looked in the first half like he was not on the move when he got the ball. In the second half he was much more mobile and that made a difference.”

Olivier Giroud insists he made contact with the ball in Arsenal's second goal that seemed to also have been pushed in by Bassong.

"I swear I touched the ball [for the second goal!" He told Arsenal Player.

There's an AST meeting going on at the moment. Some interesting stuff from Guardian journalist and Arsenal fan Amy Lawrence:

Says that Szczesny said some things that, as an Arsenal fan, she felt she shouldn't publish. Apparently, he said he wasn't motivated to play against Stoke and has had a few encounters with Spurs fans on the street.

Says that Wenger has become more reserved and edgy and takes criticism more personally (which we can see for ourselves).

Current board have no intention of changing manager regardless of league position or players sold (again, already knew this).

Wenger is likely to wait until after the summer to sign a new contract, if he wants to.

Claims that board have repeatedly offered to buy players, but Wenger has always declined because he had faith in what he had.

NOW, A change in the story, they are gonna choose the top 2 out of each Pot 1, 2, 3 & 4. That means we gonna have a tough time to choose from Dennis Bergkamp from Pot 3 or Thierry Henry from Pot 4. Tough choice. Well anyhow, as of now Thierry Henry leads with Bergkamp on 2nd Gerrard real close to him. Choose ur hero and show ur love right away and do maximum voting too.

Dont get Gooners votes splitted.. Gerrard is closing on Henry.. so guys vote for King Henry... Neutral

Wenger....
“I rushed Jack back a bit, he was not completely ready,” the manager told Arsenal Player. “How careful must I be? To listen well to the medical advice and that is what I have to do.
“Use him when everything is alright and listen to him as well, how he feels. He has been out for six weeks, so maybe it was a bit too rushed what I did.
“He has practised with me since he was 16, so I know quite well how his body responds to things.”

Wilshere...
“I’m feeling fine. I needed the game on Saturday and am happy the boss gave it to me. The plan was always that I’d play an hour. I don’t know what the boss will do [against Everton] - if he plays me then I’m fit and ready, and otherwise I’ll be ready to contribute from the bench if needed."

- Arsenal.com
for those who think it was a mistake to start Wilshere last game.. He knows what he is doing.. have some trust...

On another note, anyone knows anything about TV broadcasting and Arsenal? I was readin through the wiki for Arsenal TV and wondering what the economics behind maintaining a TV channel are.

Ofcourse, with TV Online, the revenue streams could be split. But with digital broadcasts in so many countries, the potential for TV subscriptions could be pretty high. Some of the other top clubs have TV channels, does anyone have any ideas about the possibility of us relaunching one?

It's the final pot of the PFA 40 years player award and it's only really between Henry and Gerrard so vote Henry! I know it's tempting to vote Bergkamp but we can't risk losing votes by giving them to him since he has no chance of winning it.

Get in there fellas.
