I don't think that's a mistake from Fontas, Mascherano is the one that leaves the guy unmarked moving away from him actually. Anyway, it's that kind of plays that is more a collective thing than an individual one, and plus, it would be his only big mistake.

FC Barcelona economic vice president, announced that the Catalan club
has 45 million euros to strengthen it's squad, amount which can be
raised by potential sale of players.


Faus said that Barca has 45 million to strengthen the first team, a
figure that could grow if the club gets some surplus from the sale of
players, or if a transfer is a major investment or deemed exceptionally
necessary.

Of course, "from the sales of players" would not include income earned by Martín Cáceres or Ibrahimovic transfers, as those represent "losses" for Barca.

That sounds about right and what is likely to happen. The money we have plus the money we will raise from selling off most of the starters from Barca B will leave us with just enuff money to do the following signings...

I can almost guarantee he won't come though, we haven't really been linked too him too much and Pep won't want to spend that much for an unproven player

There are reports that new Roma Coach Luis Enrique will bring Barcelona talent Bojan Krkic with him, just days after he was linked with Udinese.

The Barcelona B boss confirmed today he has an agreement to take over at the Stadio Olimpico and will sign imminently.


“I’ll look to work with the best players, those who I will find in Rome and those who I’ll be able to bring with me from Barcelona,” he stated.


One of these is thought to be Spain international striker Bojan, who this week had also been touted as bait in Barca’s move for Udinese man Alexis Sanchez.

The Bojan quotes relate to the Udinese report, and the link the article makes to Bojan isn't supported by anything, however Enrique does certainly have multiple players in mind so it might end up being likely. With new owners and not much transfer bait Roma would simply be paying cash and probably looking for a full transfer not a loan if they're putting full faith in Luis Enrique.

I hope he does. I reckon he would do well there, if he can't at Barca.

Hi guys, i was wondering.... last year we had the same 45M transfer buget, still this year, we won the CL, and played copa final, plus we have the quatar holding sponsorship, still we can't spend more on transfers.

I think we could get there in 2-3 years, but what if we don't keep on winning trophies? We had luck last year that no injuries were in the midfield, and puyols loss was covered somehow. So i think we should spend more this summer, and make everthing to be able to win more trophies in a row. And even so...do we really need the 100M a season transfer buget?

If we get Thiago Silva for Ibrahimovic+ 20/25 million, and pay 40-45 million for Aguero, we would spend 70 million, get ripped for the next season. And we should not have problems in defence, as adriano covers the FB positions, and Fontas gets playing time in copa and so on, and Puyol-pique and TS would do the job perfectly in central defence. The midfield is set...and if Thiago will deliver next year, as i hope, it will be superb...and the attack, with aguero in...would be what we need, and not forced to keep Villa playing after months of not scoring...he could get a rest, and be back in a week or so...rest did wunders in the CL final too.

So Caceres (€3M), Henrique (€3M), Keirrison (€5M), Maxwell (€4M), Sanchez (€1M), Ibra (€8M), Hleb (€2M).
That is €45 + €26M + Bojan or Jeffren or some youngsters.

A plan: spending
For €45M we can buy Aguero.
For €26M we can buy good CB.

B plan: spending + players
€35M + Bojan = Aguero
€36M left for other player(s).
€30M + player for Fabregas (I hope NOT)
€36M left, Botia is €2M

C plan: players + spending (my fav)
€30M + Bojan + someone = Aguero
Ibra (€24M) + €10M (or some players)= Thiago Silva
€31M left (or more)... keep it

i still heard Faus saying that the money from Ibra and Caceres are not counted there, because those are losses. So int's just 45 plus 15 million....still we are like 10 million away from a breathtaking transfer market succes.
And Bojan or Jeffren is still there...i wouldn't mind selling Jeffren. He's injury prone...and could not be that influential in our squad.

I don't see anybody paying 5 million for Kiersson...not if he's in this form of play....than again, what if Faus says, that the money from Kiersson are losses...and could not count;D....

I dont get why people dont want Neymar based on "unproven, never played in Europe". That reason is very strange to me.

If Milan acted like that, never would they have got Kaka, Pato or Thaigo Silva.

Neymar isnt my first choice either, for other reasons, but "unproven" certaintly isnt one of them.
