Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
It´s all just a matter of the price then
If he plays regular for Bayern then he will get a starting spot in the German National team sooner or later, and he nows that

english_jewel wrote:Manchester City defender Jerome Boateng wants to return to the German league by joining Bayern Munich.
The 22-year-old move to City last summer on a five-year deal from Hamburg but has become frustrated at Eastlands.
He wants to play at centre-back and not the right-back slot he usually occupies for City. He said: "It is all about whether I am released. I hope it works.
"Bayern are bigger than City, they are one of the top six teams in Europe. To play for them would be an honour."
A stumbling block over any deal could be the fee for Boateng, whose first season at City was disrupted by injury and limited him to 24 appearances.
His last game for City was on 2 March in the FA Cup fifth round victory over Aston Villa.
Despite City going on to lift the Cup and qualify for the Champions League, Boateng is keen to leave in order to improve his international prospects with Germany.
"I would like to go to Munich. On my side everything is clear," said Boateng.
"I have already told [City manager] Roberto Mancini that I want to play in central defence and not at full-back.
"Bayern have indicated I will play in the centre. To play there regularly is important for me because I will have a better chance of playing in the national team."

He shouldn't have went there in the first place. That place is just a cesspool of players all playing for money and not because of the shirt they wear.
Only genuine players they have is Hart, Richard and Kompany.

If not for the exorbitant wages City dish out, half their players wouldn't be thereBeautifulGame wrote:And United players play for the shirt not money ? What a load of **** . Are they paid wages or just play for free
Toure and Milner immediately spring to mind

And Fabregas would be here if payed 50k per week . Why did you offer Fabregas a pay hike if he plays so much for the Arsenal shirt and not money ?
What is exorbihant wages ? For a club like Stoke the wages paid by Arsenal are exorbihant . Does that mean Arsenal players only play for money . City pay what they can afford just like Arsenal .

Ofcourse i know that . Just because he is payed huge wages doesnt make him a mercenary . Do u think would Toure had moved from Barca if he was 1st choice ? No . So how is he a mercenary ?

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
£90k a week for Lescott doesn't reek of failure to you?
You don't see anything fishy about Milner "suddenly" deciding he wants to leave Villa when City offer him double what he was receiving?
Toure was getting games at Barcelona, and even if he wasn't an established starter, he should know that competition at Barca is fierce. Or did he just want to be a big fish in a small pond?
At a time when players are leaving their clubs just to be in the Barcelona reserves, i find it peculiar he wanted to leave the best team in the world to go to City, especially when a number of clubs showed interest in him. It had nothing to do with the 180k a week they were offering?

How is it a reek of Failure when City can afford it ? .
Milner moved from Villa to City because he knew he has more chance of winning silverware and playing CL with City than Villa . And he was proved right .
Are u seriously saying wanting to be a regular starter is wrong ? Wanting to play regularly is a sign of mercenary . U should be happy be content with a place in the bench even if u are a world class player . How dumb is that .

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
Just because you can afford something doesn't mean you should necessarily buy it. I can afford a Blackberry, but i'd never think of buying it, because i know it's crap and isn't worth its price. Especially if the seller knows i'm loaded and doubles the price. I mean for crying out loud, isn't Barry on 100k a week? Gareth effing Barry earns more than Van Persie. Wrap your mind around that one
That alone says all you need to know about Milner. If he wanted titles, why didn't he go to United? Or Chelsea? They were interested in him too if i recall
Again, you make Toure out to be some sort of fringe player who got played once in a blue moon at Barcelona. He got games regularly and was rotated as and when needed. As far as i'm concerned, moving to any other club from Barcelona is a step down. Again, there were plenty of clubs that were after Toure when he left, what made City so special that he went there? Could it be the fat weekly pay cheque waiting at Eastlands, perhaps?

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
Boateng's girlfriend, the mother of his little twins never moved to Manchester so I think he's also quite homesick
and wants to return to Germany because of them.
Plus, he obviously finally wants to start as a CB.

Thats just your opinion . But clearly City's manager values him as valuable member of the squad and has paid him whatever necessary to buy him .
Milner choose City ahead of United and Chelsea .Care to show a single link that shows United or Chelsea put a single bid for him ? Same with Toure no one put an official offer for him apart from City . So they should wait for imaginary offers rather than choose the clubs that want him .

Not a chance IMO . They will sign him probably for 12/13 mil . Remember City are willing to sell him and Bayern can wait till the end .
