Well, I do hope that Stubsi will stay healthy from now on ^^

Out for 3 months, if Martinez, Benaṭia & Bads stay fit, we should be okay...

No way all three of those stay fit. Benatia is never fit.
3 months
Back to Rafinha and Alaba as CBs
Another high profile injury and we can call it a season again.

I don't know.
You tell me. You have more experience with this.
A player that has played a few hundred minutes last 3 and a half years, but who's back just now.
Got injured within a couple of games of every previous return.
But he's back again now, finally
Like a new signing, practically.
And he's soooo good
Surely nothing will go wrong? Surely I can trust in him to stay fit?

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
The most overrated defender on the planet. Whoever thinks playing godlike against Hannover where he gets to actually defend a second or two makes him a good defender should watch many of his flops against bigger teams.
There's a good reason why City shipped him off.

Has been phenomenal this tournament. Can't help but think about that clown Gauland everytime he makes a goal line clearance or last man tackle to save Germany. Is it just me?

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
A good defender is measured by last man tackles and goal line clearances? What about defenders who stop the an attack before it gets to that stage of danger?
Not to mention both occasions were terrible touches/shots by strikers.

I really thought that was sarcasm what you wrote. But you actually mean it. I'm the last person on earth that would give credit to a Bayern player but Boateng is playing a very good tournament. It was Hummels who looked totally clueless as usual.

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
Well, Mats Hummels is just back from injury, but Jérôme Boateng was indeed really good so far. And it is not that Germany has shipped dozens of goals in the Euro so far ^^

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
The most overrated CB in the world. Almost gifted Giroud a goal. I'm glad he got more exposed in these two matches than he did all season while having mojitos on the touchline in bungesliga.

Worse than Pique.

Worse than Pique doesn't mean he's bad. Just that Pique is an all-time great defender and Boateng only one of the best in the world nowadays. Both are world-class centre backs.

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
I wish Pique could pass like him. Pique's diagonals end up as opponent throw-ins 7 out of 10 times.

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
Piqué is arguably a better defender.
And I remember there was a time, not too long ago, when defenders were measured by how well defended, not by how many diagonal balls they played

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
I am not sure what Pique you guys are watching.
If you're judging Boateng by his diagonal balls, then go ahead and judge Pique by his striker wannabe cameos . He's an average defender who fits into Barca's system. I've said it before and will say it again: without the great defenders he's played along (Puyol, Abidal, Mascherano) he'd look like utter shit. His defending is redundant when you have 70% possession. Pique is blessed to be born Catalan. That's it.
You clearly have not watched much Bayern or Germany games, and are judging Boateng by some individual mistakes, which are made by pretty much every defender. Do not tell my Pique does not make mistakes . Boateng is a very good defender with some issues. He ain't no Beckenbauer or Maldini, but he's good and as for defenders nowadays, even world class.

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
Out with a muscle tear suffered in the France game; our officials suggesting he'll be fit in time for the season start but I have my doubt and so apparently has Jerôme himself.
FFS
We'll need to buy another CB, frankly.

Benatia to replace him?
Naah kidding, you're probably gonna sell that guy at 80% loss

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
No worries, we have Kimmich and Alaba "can play as shadow goalkeeper" to fill in the gaps.
Or just play Javi there, FFS.
Or you know, give Benatia a chance under Ancelotti and a surely deeper defensive line.

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
Jerome Boateng has been named Germany's Footballer of the Year in 2015/16, an honour which is awarded by the members of the German association of sports journalists and kicker magazine to acknowledge the most outstanding player of a season, among German and Bundesliga players.
2015's winner had been Kevin De Bruyne.
