Bench Quality guy. Him & Badstuber would make Quality CB's for Mid-Level BL Opposition & good bench players for CL.
Bayern needs a World Class CB not a guy like Boateng who was RB Back-up at City
Don't mess with the bull young man, you will get the horn.
I told you so, didn't I.

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
"Guardiola discovered Boateng is totally self-taught," writes Perarnau. "The young German defender has been explaining that no one has ever shown him how to defend. In fact, Boateng confesses that he didn't even know that the defensive line could be organized. He thought that every player defended instinctively." - From Pep Confidential
This really does explain a lot
This guy makes Ramos and David Luiz look like Baresi and Nesta.

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
LOL
Whoscored are such clowns in their ratings.
Boateng has been beasting all season without them bothering to notice, but now they give him a 9.9 rating for the game against Shakhtar where next to no defending had to be done.
Why?
Because he scored a goal and gave an assist

http://gfycat.com/MediumBabyishGrouper
Of course, his defending WHEN needed was flawless, no doubt.

Anyone who thinks whoscored ratings can give you any meaningful insight in place of actually watching games is seriously misguided, and misinformed as a consequence.

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
I'm usually a bit puzzled by whoscored.com, too. The way they rate goalkeepers is somewhat peculiar, too.

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
I fear the worst: Pep just said in today's PK before the DFB-Pokal match: "Jérôme has the quality for a midfield player"...

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
Bad news: Jérôme Boateng is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a groin injury in Hamburg.

I don't know.
You tell me. You have more experience with this.
A player that has played a few hundred minutes last 3 and a half years, but who's back just now.
Got injured within a couple of games of every previous return.
But he's back again now, finally
Like a new signing, practically.
And he's soooo good
Surely nothing will go wrong? Surely I can trust in him to stay fit?

Pity about Jérôme Boateng. I hope it won't take too long, so that he is fit for the Euro!

Re: #17 - Jérôme Boateng
The Euros? THE EUROS? FFS we need him earlier than that.
We need him for CL.
"Euros" fml
I'll prepare myself that he's not available against Juve, but should the admittedly unlikely case occur that we make it past Juve with their superior team of CHIELLINI, LIECHSTEINER, MARCHISIO, ASAMOAH, DYMBALA, I bloody well hope he's fit to face whatever we face next
