Boateng has been beasting all season without them bothering to notice, but now they give him a 9.9 rating for the game against Shakhtar where next to no defending had to be done.

Why?
Because he scored a goal and gave an assist

Anyone who thinks whoscored ratings can give you any meaningful insight in place of actually watching games is seriously misguided, and misinformed as a consequence.

I'm usually a bit puzzled by whoscored.com, too. The way they rate goalkeepers is somewhat peculiar, too.

I fear the worst: Pep just said in today's PK before the DFB-Pokal match: "Jérôme has the quality for a midfield player"...
