Boateng
I know he has not had the best of starts to the season, but his goal really highlights his ability. I know he's been flamed recently but so has the majority of our team, and I've always had his back. He worked his socks off tonight and scored an unbelievable goal.

Re: Boateng
a edited Nick post that expresses how i feel about BoatengSt_Nick09_of_Goal wrote:It's after last game that i understood how delusional people are starting to get with boateng.
He played a fairly poor game against bate, but on a single action he scored, and his performance turned into a class one.
You can make the argument, and i will respect it, that scoring is the most important. However, it mainly applies for a CF. Ibra can have a piss poor game but if he bangs 3 on 3 chances, no one will care. For a midfielder, it simply doesnt cut, it's not enough, and the impact on the game has to be greater.

Re: Boateng
I agree that he has had better games but I will stand by the fact that he didn't play all that badly, I mean, its not like we were playing Barca now is it? From what i saw he provided a couple of nice tackles and was generally sound defensively while applying some key offensive pressure. Maybe its just me, but I love his energy. I think he still has some work to do both offensively and defensively, however, he should be starting in this team, and his goal tonight really encompasses why.

Re: Boateng
Nick thinks Benzema>Higgy, so his opinion irrelevant.
Boateng:
Cons:
Uncreative
Defensively not that good
Pros:
Dynamic
Decent passer
Works his ass off
Great on getting ball from opponent
He is not great, but a good player that is fit in main team. He was best player along with TS and Ibra last season. So, Ganso and nick, you can suck it up

Re: Boateng
Well said Grande. I just do not understand why people are so quick to jump on a player who was one of our best (and most improved) last season, and who wears his heart on his sleeve.

Re: Boateng
Ppl blame Boa, but forget the fact that Allegri misuses him due to lack of good midfielders in first place.
Boateng cant be AM or DM, he underperforms there, he is yours box-to-box CM.
Montolivo-MVB-Boateng
AM
Hows that? A CL winner (exaggerating, but u get the point that its is like double improvement from what we have)

Re: Boateng
Boateng should play exactly where you said, the only problem is, Allegri does not have another hard working attacking minded player to fit his system (CAM) seeing as both Cassano and Ibra have tendencies to be lazy. So when Allegri gets his man I hope we will see Boateng in his natural position, because alongside MVB and Aquilan/Nocerino we can certainly have the midfield we all desire.

Re: Boateng
I'm fairly certain that he's our top scorer at the moment, across all competitions.
Such contributions are required of our midfield to add overall balance to our team and it is something I had mentioned over the summer, however I'm more interested to see how Boateng continues to contribute, especially if he has a rotational role in the attacking midfield slot or is used otherwise.

Re: Boateng
I love how many say he's limited in the attacking role as now hes obviously proving how capable he can be while still providing defensive cover

Re: Boateng
Boateng's contributions recently has been fantastic, no doubt about it
But he's far from the finished product.
He DOES have to improve his passing and positioning still but it is just mind-blowing to see how much his shooting has improved. Especially after last season where he would scuff shots 5 meters wide day in, day out.

Who needs passing, with new trequartista and regista, he will hardly need to do any of it
