The Jewel of Bayern(Toni Kroos)
At his Age Kroos is currently the best passer in bundesliga, he brings stability to our play, most people who understand little about football will say he goes unnoticed most of the time but his passing and movements in tight spaces are extremly effective. One funny part, He can pass with either foot precisely any kind of passes all over the field and can deliver a cross in centre of the pitch(the 2nd goal against Napoli is an example).
Great passer, great for keeping possession, great with delivery set piece, often gives the assist to the assist - far more important than you'd realize if you weren't paying him any particular attention. He comes across like a sly, cunning fellow who brings a different edge to the game than Schweini. Staying in the background to take in the lay off of the game, he than pulls something out of his hat. He has specialized in using the spaces Schweini provides by pulling the concentration of too many defenders in his direction, totally forgetting about Kroos.
He can pass ball to space(Alaba type) can ass ball to feet(Schweini type) and can receive pass on his feet and in space(very intelligent fellow).
His development is going on well, slow and steady in order not to burnt out like some young talents will do, the media dont pay too much attention to him(which protects him from pressure), very discipline and matured.
In Brief, Toni Kroos is the Jewel of FC Bayern and Germany, he will be Germany and Bayern best player in a long time...

Re: Former Player: Toni Kroos
High Breed of Xavi and Iniesta, what do you expect..?
Loew has already said his important member of Germany squad, as I can see now I think his in thesame hierarchy with Muller, Oezil and just below Gomez, Schweini and Lahm

Re: Former Player: Toni Kroos
I posted it in gen section, time to post it here as well
Kroos' isn't similar to Zidane or other greats, no need to compare now, we'll see at the end of his career.
What he has in common with the likes of Zidane and Iniesta is his role in the team. He starts off as CM deeper like
-------------DM--------------
-------Kroos----piggy-------
When he plays but as soon as he sees possibilities or starts a pass himself he moves up into CAM position:
------------DM-------------
-----------------piggy-----
-------Kroos---------------
Piggy does it as well like in the diagram above but Kroos is allowed to go even into wing position, as far as an inside forward (Muller). Like you could see in youtube videos, he has no problems to pass, cross or shoot with either foot from everywhere.
Zidane and Iniesta were/are hybrid CM/AM like him. Their ability to switch their role upon reading the game makes their influence on the teams play overall huge. Zidane had insane stamina and ball control so his job was more than influencig upper midfield only. Iniesta and Kroos share their responsibilities with Xavi and piggy respectively more

Re: Former Player: Toni Kroos
Kroos will be great, oh yeah. I'm glad he's getting minutes even if we play Mueller out of position, because in sheer talent he's probably one of the best out there.
I'd rather he concentrate on the offensive side, though. If he polishes his finishing and stamina, he could really become a Ballack-type midfield scorer and passer, just without the physique.

He'll play CM next to Khedira because piggy is out injured. He is actually pretty bad at CM (defending) but he'll have to make up for it with his forward runs and passing

Re: Former Player: Toni Kroos
Doing great. Not much defensive work to be done since Holland is passing like shit, so he can focus on his distribution.

Re: Former Player: Toni Kroos
officiating in this game has been one of the worst displays I have seen. sneijder, Bommel, and mateijsen have been hacking the germans. klose got a yellow card for a dive (klose literally didn't touch him, he tripped on his own feet), and several other non calls from the ref.

Someone dislikes me, Kroos, Germany or football... I think it's the last one
Netherlands hate Germany at NT level We have common history There was a time when we hacked down their midfieldersTheBlueArmy wrote:officiating in this game has been one of the worst displays I have seen. sneijder, Bommel, and mateijsen have been hacking the germans. klose got a yellow card for a dive (klose literally didn't touch him, he tripped on his own feet), and several other non calls from the ref.

Babun Toni Kroos is not that bad at defending like you are trying to make it seems, his just not as good as Schweini in defending, otherwise his defending is ok for an attacking and technical player like himself.

Re: Former Player: Toni Kroos
Who said WC at defending? He was most fouled when on the pitch. He ran the show in the background Xavi style in piggy role We dominated Netherlands, what do you want to ask more form a 21y old guy?Iceman wrote:Too.Much.Bias

His passing technique is superior to Ramshere, you don't see him but he runs the show Not even Iniesta can play in regista role, Kroos switched from AM ( Bayern) to playmaking CM (Germany) without a problem

Not again man.
Kroos defending is top class, it's a myth that he can't defend because to be fair the whole Bayern Munich team couldn't defend last season.
Toni Kroos attitude is top class, humble and respectful, similar to Klose. not too flashy don't draw attention to himself....

Re: Former Player: Toni Kroos
1) Never mentioned Ramshere in this thread, so I don't understand why they were brought up. For the record, his passing technique is just as good as Wilshere's.
2) Someone said "Top Class defending". We both know that's not true.
3) I didn't even watch that match, so I have no right to comment on it
