Nah, Hazard is not a forward at all, he is a midfielder. He scores goals, but that's because he is talented. you watch most of his goals and it's him playing 1-2 and taking a shot, or driving the ball since through dribbling and shooting. There is no variety in terms of how he attacks, and it's easy for organized teams to snuff him out. He has no concepts of what it means to attack the space, because all of what he does is on the ball. I keep saying this, his game off the ball in attack sucks for the talent he has. He touches a incrdible amount of balls in attack because chelsea chose to play through him.

Neymar, CR, Bale, Walcott, Reus, etc... those are wing forwards. Hungry men that rampage the space and move like true attackers. Off or On the ball they go inside and put themselves at the end of crosses, passes etc... they want to finish and score goals. Hazard wants to be the one making passes. half of his goals are pks lol

Neymar's issue is Messi and Iniesta. Iniesta dominates the left and Messi is the prime scorer. So really, he's played in a very different role that he's always played. That's not on him... great talent despite his biatch diving.

And i disagree with you Nick... the lack of imagination in how Hazard attacks is the lack of imagination of Mou with his attacking concepts. We had the same problem at Madrid. Mou's concept is to send the ball forward and count on the brilliance of his forwards without a sytematic concept of building up an attack. At Lille with Garcia, Hazard played the wing striker (and AM) within a systematic attacking setup that relied on the team rather than individuals. His individual talent was a bonus after the team concepts were implemented...
