His performance against Arsenal was below standard.

Neymar is a whole different level to hazard tbh, its like comparing messi to david silva.. Why these people (gil and co) are quick to compare hazard to neymar even when its gotten pointless is beyond me, even hazard himself will chuckle at the neymar comparitions. Today's performance was way better than last seasons. Did nothing apart from the dribble. People are just underrating it because Arsenal were down to 10 men in the 2nd half & he's had a well publicized slow start.

When you're at his level, the benchmark for left wingers you tend to take performances like that for granted.

Definitely the most dangerous chelsea attacker. He is largely limited by chelsea's rigid system though. Really hope he joins some ball dominant team and a team that can actually support him with a decent fullback instead of a right footed defensive 'left back'. Chelsea is the most uncreative team out there, graveyard for creative players.

Yes he is great, but it's not normal that he is still not developping a final pass, or even improving his position in the box to be at the end of more chances. too much senseless possession and not enough movements, he is at times the reason his team looks so bland in possession in the last 3rd... just saying. You cant put everything on Mourinho, plenty of players have performed just fine under him.

In a way, yes, in another way, no because there are players who just dribble without advancing the play. Once again, statistics in football are ridiculously contextual and almost useless.

Yes, dribbling is important, but not as important as releasing the ball at the right time. Again, it all depends of the context. So in a way what Chad said is right. Being a great dribbler doesnt equate to being a great player, but then again, no one here is arguing that Hazard is not a great dribbler or player. It's just reductive to reach that conclusion based of his dribbling stats

no messi the great random dribbler of all time, that why dribbling is very important to you, why do you even bother?

Actually it's the most important aspect of individual game. It doesn't depend of anyone else, when you beat your marker you aren't marked anymore, and opposition will have to adjust their defense which is always a potential danger, depending how do you or your team take advance of it. You can be a great dribbler and not great player, but it's not like Hazard haven't created the third most chance's the last six seasons, after Özil and Messi, and it's not becase the team edge, like how Fakenaldo creates chance's but it's because the individual game.
