Anyway, Varane has been playing like this since 2012, it's baffling that only now he is getting recognition. Best central defender in the world by a country mile

I just thought people overhyped him at the beginning, which i 100% stand by btw.

You were all acting like he was this good 5 years ago and he wasn't, like i always say people tend to see a young talent and act like he's already playing at the level you imagine him to be during his prime instead of what he is.

I don't hate anyone, if someone is legit fantastic i will say so. He wasn't this good at any of the previous tournaments but tonight he was legitimately fantastic.

2016-2017, he was good, not amazing but good. Injuries kept bugging him down alot. This season, however, our best CB and one of our best performers for the entire season. This is just a continuation of his season just finished.

I agree with you Mole, he wasn't always this good for various reasons discussed.
