Re: Raphael Varane - Man United
I don't believe any of this crap about wanting a "new challenge".He's clearly fishing for a big contract, Real Madrid will bite of course.

Re: Raphael Varane - Man United
According to a post, he is paid 100k a week. Pretty great wage for me but Ramos makes double that and Bale makes triple that while him being just as important as Ramos (mandatory statement of Bale can fuck off).
Yeah, Varane is definitely fishing for a better contract and I totally hope the club gives him it.

Re: Raphael Varane - Man United
He's clearly fishing for a new contract because he knows his worth and he knows that there are many clubs out there that would pay him at least double the amount he's earning now at Madrid.
Let's hope he won't be sold. Cause we all know they won't be able to replace him with an equally talented CB and they would probably sign another jabroni to go along with the rest of the jabronis they have been signing.

Re: Raphael Varane - Man United
Zidane: Varane hasn't told me he wants to leave. He's at the best club in the world, and he knows it
He also said, "I do not want a Real Madrid without Varane. He is a young player who has been here for 8 years. He has not told me anything, if he is annoyed then these are things that happen in a player's life".

Re: Raphael Varane - Man United
No chance he leaves.
This is clearly about wages. He'll get a proper raise, as he deserves, maybe not quite as much as Ed Woodward is dangling in front of him, but then staying at Real is so much more attractive than having to move to Manchester who probably won't even play in CL.

I have a hard time seeing Zidane letting him go, wasn't he the one who fished him out?

yeah, obviously fishing for a wage increase and if he really is making 100K a week he should get it
don't want him anyway, French Smalling at best

Until he arrives and you'll be calling him the French Nesta.

Yes, as Sports enjoys reminding us from time to time, it was Zidane who insisted Perez sign him from Lens. Interestingly, Utd was also very much in the running too.

Re: Raphael Varane - Man United
Losing a top CB in the middle of his prime, while our other top CB is close to retirement means it's time for panic.

Re: Raphael Varane - Man United
I may have started a drunk thread called "we can do better than Varane" purely to instigate Sports once, but I honestly don't think we can do much better than him right now. We can get youngsters with higher potential, but they'd probably waste a few years of development, providing positional competition for John O'Shea Lucas Vasquez

Haven’t you heard maybe the best Madrid news of the season? Lucas Vasquez hasn’t been able to agree a new deal with the club let’s hope it stays that way

I haven't heard of that. That's quite surprising, considering how frequently he's been utilized under Zidane, not to mention his recent burst of form.

Re: Raphael Varane - Man United
that’s the funniest part of it, because he plays as much as he does, more than some « stars », he believes he is worth a bigger contract. However, someone seems to have eyes like us and disagreesThimmy wrote:Mr Nick09 wrote:Haven’t you heard maybe the best Madrid news of the season? Unless he agrees to keeping the same wages essentially, he will not stay at the club.

Re: Raphael Varane - Man United
it makes much more sense that Vazquez's amount of wages would be down to how many minutes he plays for Real Madrid than what you think of him
being a Madrid starter and demanding to be paid, what's not to get

Re: Raphael Varane - Man United
Of course, he is absolutely right to have that mindset and same for his agent to ask for higher wages. He is a player that always bets on himself and gets minutes despite what anybody says.
He just doesn’t have bargaining power to get that much more unless the coach pushes for it, and I think Zidane has other issues to worry about today

On topic, you think Varane will leave? Wants to leave? Club wants to sell him? And if so for how much?
