How highly do you rate Raphael Varane?

He has been one of our buys for this seasons campaign. Totally bossed the back 4 in preseason, leaving albiol for shame. Just started to play in a pro league since 2010, and has yet to make a debut of Real madrid. Not to mention he was handpicked by Zidane and Mou, although the price tag was a indeed a bit pricy, but compared to his talent its nothing really.
Does he have a chance to become one of the top 10 cbs if not top 5?

He has a big chance at being one of the best CB's one day.
I rate him highly for a youth. Just hope doesn't crash and burn.

Not really seen him play very much. But from the little I have seen, he looks pretty solid.

PSG, Man U and Madrid each offered 10 million for the kid this summer when he had only 6 months of professional experience (starting playing pro in November of 2010 for Lens). In the second half of Ligue 1 last year, he was considered one of the top 4 CBs with Rami, Sakho and Lovren.

Madrid fans assured me he wil get a fair amount of time this season with Carvalho's age and Albiol being crap.
Its early, but I am yet to see him.
Lets see if he gets that time he needs, personally I dont think he will this season regardless of how talented he might be.

he wont be same as canales, because at madrid we have the best forwards playing and always go for big names and glamorous players ..but we havent really had a solid defense.. before pepe and carvalho our defense was aweful..even marcelo and ramos tend not to be so good defensively.. so varane if he sticks around will definitely get the chance

Tbh you can't really tell how well a Cb is going to develop like throughout his career.

Nah don't think so the competition was too fierce for Canales. Varane only has Albiol and Carvalho in his way.
