Re: Arsenal Lobby
Thomas Vermaelen has given Arsenal a huge boost by claiming he is ready to spend the rest of his career at the Emirates.
The Belgium defender’s best pal Robin van Persie will spend the Euros weighing up his Arsenal future.
But Vermaelen insists he shares none of the Dutch striker’s uncertainty.
The 26-year-old, set to face England at Wembley on Saturday, said: “I will stay at Arsenal forever. There will be no transfer for me.
“I love London. I’ve got a house there, I’m happy there and I don’t see any reason to ever leave the club.”
Van Persie, linked to Manchester City, Barcelona and Juventus, has now joined up with Holland after refusing to sign a new Gunners contract, despite being offered £130k-a-week and a £5million bonus.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
^while thats great news, i feel a little skeptical really. I think just last season he said he stayed with the club because he felt he owed Wenger. Now he wants to stay here forever. If it's true it's great news

Y he chose Chelski..? The reason is obvious.. A money whore who flirted with all the clubs and stripped for the one paid the highest..
£32 million and 200k wages..
Wtf.. And where is financial fairplay ?

His wages will be 100-110k L'Equipe, Telegraph and Guardian confirmed. I think he even took a pay-cut.

Then why is every other site claiming 250k? I don't think he'd go from the rumored 250 down to 100.

Some Chelsea fans were saying Mata is on 55k a week, if this is true, why on earth we did not sign him?
Hazard even on 100k a week will cost Chelsea 80m after paying his wages which just crazy. But I agree no way he is on 100k after teams like City and Man u were after him. I think City would have offered him 200k a week easy.
Hazard went to Chelsea cus he is lazy and does not like competition.
At Arsenal he had to compete with Jack, Oxlade and Podolski.

Maybe this kind of attitude prevented him from getting first team action this year. Really enigmatic character hope it's resolved soon.

Does it mean more price money? Or more reputation? Otherwise, I'll let the kids play in it and concentrate on FA Cup and PL title double. Gods willing (RvP and Poldi), it will be possible.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Arsenal have to make a further payment for Per Mertesacker because the club qualified for the Champions League. (Bild) Probably around €500k
