Re: Arsenal Lobby
Hey guys, was thinking about something. If the Premier League started tomorrow, and we had our current squad with everyone available (I know, it's hard to imagine), our squad would be pretty strong:
From this 18-man squad, I admit Van Persie is likely to leave, there are fitness doubts surrounding Sagna, Diaby & Wilshere, and we know Gibbs is injury-prone etc, but it's quite a strong squad. Just a reminder that we don't need mega changes, like some suggest.
Also, it's extremely likely Wenger will add more players to the squad, whether it's Capoue, Radu, Sakho or whoever.
Just wanted to bring some reassurance.
Szczesny
Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Gibbs
Song Arteta
Walcott Rosicky Podolski
Van Persie
Subs: Fabianski, Mertesacker, Diaby, Wilshere, Gervinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud

Re: Arsenal Lobby
Watched Arsenal v Portsmouth from 2009 yesterday. Gotta say, if we can get that same Diaby onto the pitch next season then we're going to be absolutely stacked in the middle.

Re: Arsenal Lobby
It's a big if, though, since Diaby currently seems unable to get minutes on the pitch without some form of injury, no matter how much fitness work he seems to do.
He can contribute a lot, though. Not only would his speed and power help, but also his directness and running off the ball. He could have easily been a 10+ goals per season midfielder if not for injuries.

If Diaby can improve his fitness and decisions on the ball he could be a beast. He is brilliant at skipping past 2-3 players only to lose the ball

Ahead of the London 2012 Olympics the Brazilian football team are expected to arrive at Arsenal’s training ground tomorrow where they will take advantage of the facilities to prepare ahead of the Games. The Brazilian team, which contains players such as Marcelo, Thiago Silva, Neymar, Pato and Hulk, will face Great Britain in a friendly to be held in Middlesborough on July 20th.

A key Arsenal player is close to signing a new contract with #AFC - Not Van Persie or Walcott, possibly is Koscielny. (Via @GoonerTalk )
