If you get CL football, then yeah. But if it comes down to who offers bigger salary, Newcastle are one club we could out-offer. The same thing with Tottenham. Chelsea are another story, if they want him, they'll offer bigger wages than us.

I dont think CL football matters tbh.......out of the clubs you mentioned its possible Liverpool, ourselves and Chelsea wont have it and i doubt he would go to Tottenham to sit on the bench.

None of us are going to go mad with wages either, while Hoilett is a promising talent he is not a once in a generation talent which would make yourselfs or Chelsea go mad.

We do have targets that depend on CL football but i dont think Hoilett will be one of them.

de Jong for anything less than 15m is a steal, IMO. If Liverpool aren't in for him this summer it'll be a serious mistake in my eyes.

Luuk can also play as a wide forward, second striker and even a right winger when necessary. He's best at the top of an attack but he's versatile like Suarez.

Ah that explains why we want him as Ba's replacement if he goes but quite frankly i'd expect him to join you out of the two of us as we getting him requires on players leaving.

You getting him requires nothing but your management's wallets.

How much has Luuk De Jong improved since last season? Havn't seen too many Eredivisie games this season, and he wasn't Liverpool material last year.

Carroll staying or going is regardless. We need another striker.

We need a poacher more urgently than a wide forward.So even if we buy de jong hopefully we are in for another striker who is a poacher.

Actually how many players u guys think do we need to have a much better crack at Top4 next season?

I personally think we need a winger and CM for 1st team and a striker (poacher) as back up for Carroll.

Callejon fits the bill well IMO.

I think we need a versatile CM/DM.

Exactly. It's just the rumor mill putting 2 and 2 together and getting 8.

As for the number of signings we need, I'd say 3-4 tio quality signings.
1. Wide Forward / backup striker (Replace Kuyt/Maxi)
2. Winger / creator (Competition with Downing)
3. CM - b2b, can dictate play, getting forward when necessary (better than Adam)
4. LB - Competition/cover for Enrique
(5. - maybe a CB depending on Carra's status)

My dream choices for these positions:
1. Iker Muniain - Young, scores, (okay so he doesn't fit the backup striker criteria, but who cares) Nolito is a similar player that we've been linked to. If De Jong really does paly out wide, he might be a good fit for this role. Can you imagine this line:
Suarez - Carroll - De Jong
2. Hoilett would fit, though Dries Mertens (from PSV) would be my preference.
3.We've been linked with Rasmus Elm for this, but I think Gylfi Sigursson is just as good. However, Esteban Granero is precisely the type of player I'm envisioning for this role.
4.Lb... Your guess is as good as mine. Cissohko is my preference, but most likely too expensive for backup/competition. Young and consistent are the only real criteria.

I don't think we need competition for Enrique.

2 players to slot straight into the first team (a winger + striker)
2 squad players to replace Maxi and Dirk

Well according to papers LFC have been interested in any & every player that is young & is heard to be of potential so nothing concrete in any rumors honestly
