(ATM I'm a bit at 180 as I have some problems with my phone - those ijits from the shop managed to give me the wrong product *again* (for the 3rd time by now) and I was more crawling in the corner where I have all the cable salad and sockets trying to make stuff fit anyway than sitting in front of my computer... Tomorrow I shall be going to the shop again and kill some of the vendors...)

Well, Huub Stevens probably should give Pukki more playing time in general. Too bad he can't play in Europe this season. The Twente match will be very difficult.

After a 0:1 loss away at Twente due to a dubious penalty, Schalke fought back at home and won convincingly 4:1 in Enschede with a Hunter hat-trick and a Jones goal to proceed to the EL QF. Well done!

The 2nd half was something of brilliance, I really dont know what Stevens could of said to the team at half time to have that effect.

I actually wondered that, too. Maybe he threatened them to leave and that Magath would be called back?

What is happening with Farfan? Is he going to leave in the summer fir free?

Well, so far there is no report of Farfan having gotten a new contract offer by Schalke since they withdrew it when Farfan supposedly asked 14 mio Euros just to sign the contract extension. I think Schalke did well not to let themselves get blackmailed by the player (or even more likely his agent), and as things stand now he will be able to leave for free in summer.

Farfan is good, very good even - but he's not good enough to get away with his mercenary attitude in a club like S04 - he gambled for a payraise, and I'm pretty sure he could've gotten one, but he wanted them to double his pay.

Of course they weren't gonna do that, especially not if he basically blackmailed them. They can just save those 14m and buy a new winger for 7 to 8m and be done with it.

I'm pretty sure they can grab some German youngster off some sinking ship, like Kölns Clemens maybe. Or Hermann off BMG if more people decide to jump ship, BMG-wise.

BTW, in Doppelpass today they had Tönnies as one of the guests and he mentioned that Farfan (or rather his agent) signaled that he might want to talk to Schalke again about his contract. I'm curious what might come out of that now.

Well they are building a great squad there, TBH ATM I would only leave Schalke for clubs like Bayern, Real, Barca etc., and only if I was confident I could walk into the first XI there. He'd be smart to stay at S04, if they'll still have him.
