Moreover. Klaas-Jan Huntelaar won the "Torjägerkanone" for Season 2011/12 with 29 goals, the highest number scored by a Dutch player in one season in the BL and egalizing the record of SChalke legend Klaus Fischer with the highest number of goals for Schalke in one season.

Additionally, he got 13 assists in the BL, scored 10 goals in 10 matches in the Europe League plus 5 goals in 3 matches in the DFB-Pokal. Classy Hunter!

He scored 4 in the EL Qualifier. And 12 goals in Euro Qualifiers,he was the highest scorer in the Euro Qualifier.

He started 13 matches & had 7 Sub Apperance & scored 7 goals which is actually pretty good for his first La Liga season. In Milan he was played as Wide ST more like a Winger. You know what will happen if Gomez plays RW.

If Howedes leaves, I would find myself quetioning Schalke's management's ambition... OK, they cant be Bayern Munich, but selling captains in consecutive years to main rivals isnt the way to go.

From what Rummenigge said yesterday before the Bayern - Netherlands friendly, the Bayern management doesn't have any plans to get Höwedes.

But he said they plan to add quality to the defense as well.

Well, that doesn't mean they go for Höwedes, especially when Tönnies said that Schalke don't intend to sell Höwedes.

BTW, Schalke are not interested in Rafinha either. They plan to extend with Atsuto Uchida. I think extending Uschi's contract would be a very good idea, BTW.

PUKKI scored his first international goal today against Turkey The future Liverpool legend had a shot deflected from outside the box.

Great! I'm really happy for Teemu Pukki. I hope he will continue his scoring ways for Schalke in the CL after he wasn't allowed to play for them in the EL this season.

Well, I certainly hope so! It looks as if he works nicely behind Huntelaar as secondary striker, and I'm pretty sure Stevens will let him play there. The Royalblues need to replace Raúl's firepower after all!

Good hopefully he keeps on progressing and starts scoring for Finland

Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Ever since he was signed, Teemu Pukki became an absolute fan favourite at Schalke.

Pukki isn't even of the bench today v Augsburg, has he fallen out with the coach??

He didn't get any playing minutes last match either

I have no idea. I haven't read any comment by Stevens anywhere about the choice of attackers for this match. I would love to see Pukki more often, too.

BTW, Timo Hildebrand is injured again, that's why Lars Unnerstall started in goal again.

Even though tempted with an immoral offer of higher wages plus a fee of 20 mio Euros for Schalke 04 by Zenit St.Petersburg, Kyriakos Papadopoulos opted to stay with the Royalblues and even extended his contract with better conditions up to 2017. So anyone who wants to lure him away in the future will have to make an even more immoral offer than Zenit. ^^

So three competitive games played by Schalke so far (2 Bundesliga, 1 DFB Pokal). Pukki only played 62 minutes in the cup so far
