Schalke captain Benedikt Höwedes extended his currently 15 year long stay with Schalke for another 3 years until 2020 (that is, originally his contract would have ended 2017).

Haha the european league just got really competitive, but if they put up similar performances to yesterday then will definately make the play-offs.

They're against EU's 2nd place team though that pulled a great transfer coup - they are easily in contention for first place so this will be a tough match for the computerknappen

Hm. I have to admit I have no real clue what exactly they are doing there. (Mind you, I'm totally not doing any computer or console games). Does it look good for Schalke?

Well the two numbers at the top is the kill score; next to them you'll see their team gold total - usually the team with the higher total is in the lead (higher gold usually equates to higher team power). The third number from centre is the amount of towers killed - this usually indicates map control; similar how possession puts pressure in football; the less towers you have, the less vision you have - the team play in a fog of war and it's like gathering intelligence with "wards" and its strategy in of its own placing them defending them using the info you get from them since the game is very tactical.

Schalke are doing okay up until now but they lost a major objective.

The won the second game in the series though to tie it up and that leaves them with 4 points from their first weekend and tied for second; not bad considering they were underdogs for both matches.

At this stage in the season Schalke are at the top of the second pack after a tough schedule against the title-contenders and it looks like they might make play-offs at the end of the season; none of their losses against the top teams looked too disappointing. Their win against Roccat will boost their confidence ahead of this weeks clash with champions G2 before they will deal with the rest of the the table.

Daim; Schalke convincingly draws with leaders G2 which lets fnatic take the lead. After a 4 point weekend against the title holders G2 and a fellow play-off contender Giants, Schalke claims 4th as its own.

The Schalke boys are getting good and are one of the more exciting teams to watch in this pretty stale EU meta Surprised

Well, Schalke rarely fail to entertain in all areas XD

Just recently they announced the signing of Breel Embolo of FC Basel, and in the Schalke general meeting yesterday, the head of the board of directors Clemens Tönnies managed to overcome a putsch attempt by some other guys who wanted to get his head... Let's see what's next ^^
