Re: terry going to court
Probably Terry won't get any punishment from anywhere, and that'll be funny when you compare Suarez' 8-game ban to Terry's "slip of the tongue"

Big difference between a dumbass and a criminal.
JT is the former, not the latter.
It's ridiculous that taxpayer money is actually going towards this.

I thought complaints about "taxpayer money" were strictly American

Australia is the same, although usually people dont associate courts with wasting taxpayer money, we come up with dumber reasons
And i too agree with justdoit, Terry isnt the sharpest tool in the shed

Well it's probably his own tax money that will easily cover this.

Re: terry going to court
Anton didn't even heard JT say anything racist. He only found out when his girlfriend showed him the youtube video.
Since there is no audio for it no one knows for sure what JT said.

Re: terry going to court
This case is really making a mockery of the courts and the seriousness of racial abuse. Even though I have so much disdain for John Terry as a footballer and probably a person, judging by what is going on, it is basically two block heads having a go at one another.

Re: terry going to court
In a hilarious misunderstanding, Terry was asked to repeat evidence that he had been sent off four times in his career.
“Can you say, please, four times?” asked his QC, George Carter-Stephenson.
“Please, please, please, please,” Terry responded.
Guffaws of laughter broke out around the courtroom at the misunderstanding, which was a result of the judge asking Terry to speak up.
The footballer appeared confused by response from the courtroom.

To be honest people should get over this racism thing i mean im a wog and have met the occasional aussie racist which will say some dirty things, which have resulted in a few fights.
But dont be a girl instead of cryin wolf, just be proud of what u are and let them know u are proud,in athelites cases they cant fight but they can still stick up for themselves.
No wonder theres still racism, people have heart attacks left right and centre when somethin is said about african people.
Just defend who u are and where ur from, dnt cry about it, at te en of the day there just words.
I know iv prob explained this poorly but im on my phone so cbf.
Long story short if such a stink wasnt kicked up, this would happen less simply because noone would say it because no one cares if they do.
look mate, in the 70s and 80s, England had serious problems with racism ( clyde best and viv anderson)
when the EPL was formed in 1992, it was meant to clean up englands image in football from hoolganism to racism and bad stadiums
and we see how the EPL went far with a "clean" image..
so honestly I think what they are doing even do harsh, can be tottally justified
No i think u miss understood, i totally agree that the punishment is justified without a doubt.
What im sayin is african people should not kick up such a fuss anymore.
Honestly racism is not a big deal these days.
Espc in england now, is one stupid comment said in the heat if a game really gonna kill the other person, yes its wrong but geez get the hell over it.
People get insulted all the time.
U get aussies being called convicts, wogs being insulted for bein wog, arabic people being called terrosists etc etc.
Yes all these things are wrong, but the more we react the more reason we give people to keep sayin these things.
And for me it seems like u can say whatever u want about anyone else race but god forbid someone say nigro.
I do get all their history and what not but we live in age where we are all equals now and someone sayin one stupid thing shouldnt be such a big deal to them anymore.
Are you are an idiot or just a child.
Perhaps you don't understand gravity of slavery and the historical wrong that surrounds the n word.
and Anton is not Africa he's British and European.
Also do you even realise Arabic got to chose for themselves the name Arabian, we Africans have never accepted the N word and will never accept.

Not sure why there's such a fuss over this. Just watch the video in slow motion and use science/technology/lie detectors to work everything out.

Re: terry going to court
At least, the letter of the law was followed.
No compelling evidence so a not guilty verdict was only right.
FA going to have their own case now?
